Sony Ericsson Duo to be first dual-core Xperia phone?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonXperia duo
Sony Ericsson’s follow-up to the Xperia Arc has made its first appearance today on some Chinese forums. Though there aren’t many details on specifications, the Duo will likely be Sony Ericsson’s first dual-core handset, have the same three hardware keys on the front, and pack some familiar-looking home screen widgets. It’s probably safe to assume that the Duo will have an 8 megapixel camera as Sony Ericsson’s other high-end smartphones, but some comments further in the leak’s discussion thread are suggesting that there will be no flash.

New Trojan Targets Bitcoin Wallets
Like UnlikePrivacy advocates and seedy characters on the edge of Internet legality alike use Bitcoins as their virtual currency of choice. The anonymous, decentralized P2P nature of Bitcoins lets you transfer money without ever having to contact a bank or even know the true identity of the person on the other end of the transaction. Recent events have dragged the shadowy currency into the light of public scrutiny, and now its squirming users have another headache to deal with: a trojan designed specifically to pilfer your Bitcoin wallet.

Acer Gives Predator Desktop a Makeover, Inside and Out
Like UnlikeFiled in: Desktop ComputersAcer
Acer's attention-seeking Predator desktop series has been known for its over-the-top chassis design that some find totally bad ass, and many others feel is gaudy, to put it nicely (and ugly, if we're being blunt). The new Predator G5910 series trades in the funky orange case for a matte black body that Acer says is supposed to "evoke power and performance, while the angles and grooves on the front add a high-tech futuristic mood."

Vizio tablet fits Walmart into its hectic schedule, shipping in just six weeks
Like UnlikeFiled in: NotebooksVIZIO
Looks like Blake Griffin will have to find some other unreleased gadget to wave in front of our noses, because his beloved Vizio tablet will soon be available to all the little people who shop at Walmart. An internal schedule just faxed itself to our tin foil caps declaring that the Android 8-incher will start shipping in "week 26", which is Walmartish for six weeks from now. That might seem a long wait considering Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is already giving us doe-eyes from the shelves at Best Buy, but the Vizio hits a friendlier price bracket (recently leaked at $349) and has its own set of tricks.

Google, MIT develop new way to transfer data between PC, smartphone
Like UnlikeFiled in: Google
Researchers at MIT and Google have developed a new way to transfer data between a PC and a smartphone by utilizing the camera on the phone
The program, called "Deep Shot", allows a user snap a photo of what is displayed on the PC's monitor, like a map for instance, and then use that data in smartphone applications. The technique uses web technology called uniform resource identifiers, or URIs, that allow code and links to be embedded in a web page or image. The smartphone can then interpret this code to extract the information. Both the smartphone and the PC require a small amount of code to make the program work.
