It comes to an end! Dell has ended the sales of its first and only Windows Phone device Dell Venue Pro. The device when got leaked created lots of buzz and excitement and later went on to become a great example of poorly executed product. Until few days back the device was available at dirt cheap price from Dell as it was selling this unlocked device at $299 at its own store whereas in Amazon the unlocked device is still available at a price of just $249. Now Dell no longer sells mobile devices ( Windows Phone+ Android) in US and expects to release few new products later this year.

Nokia has released the beta version of its new Play To app, which will allow its Windows Phone users to stream content from their mobiles to other DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) connected devices.

Windows Phone outselling Symbian in the UK

Microsoft’s market share in the United States may have been slipping as of late, but what about in the UK? According to market research firm Kantar Worldpanel, Microsoft and Nokia’s gambit may be paying off: Windows Phone 7 has outsold Symbian handsets for the first time, and the Nokia Lumia 800 is proving popular across Europe too.
According to the research, 2.5% of UK consumers bought a Windows Phone handset compared to 2.4% for Symbian over a three month period that ended on February 19th. Not only that, but the Nokia Lumia 800 accounted for 87% of all Windows Phone sales in Europe. Windows Phone apparently does best in Germany, with it accounting for 3.1% of the market.

HP, Dell and Asus tipped as Windows 8 tablet launch partners

A number of manufacturers have been tipped as Windows 8 tablet makers eyeing an October release date, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer and Asus.
The word comes by way of Digitimes and its supply chain contacts, who also finger Sony, Toshiba, Samsung, and Lenovo as working on Windows 8 tablets for an early 2013 launch.
Meanwhile Nokia, Microsoft's bestest bud and tablet wildcard, may release a 10-inch ARM-based Windows 8 tablet in November 2012 to complete the pack.

We’ve already seen Microsoft changing the style of their “Download for Windows Phone” buttons last June, when it did away with the color options and instead provided a consistent grey-orange color scheme. Now, those buttons have been updated once again to replace the generic download buttons with the new Windows Phone logo introduced in Mango, resulting in a red-grey color scheme and more prominent branding that we personally find more appealing than the previous iteration.

Michael Dell said that he would offer an enterprise tablet "on the exact day" that Windows 8 ships to customers, but his company may have some competition right out of the gate: We've learned that Lenovo is internally planning to be the very first manufacturer to release a Windows 8 tablet, and that the company believes that October is when the operating system will ship. The new countries include Bahrain, Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Vietnam, raising the total number of supported countries to 63 and resulting in a 60% increase in addressable users.

It seems that Microsoft's latest version of Windows is receiving a mixed reaction: some people like it, and some people don't. Naturally you can't please everyone on the planet, but we really haven't heard this much negativity since Windows Vista.
