A new build of the Nokia Lumia 800 firmware has shown up on NavirFirm with the build number 1600.2487.8107.12070.
The ROM seems to be intended for the Vodafone New Zealand Lumia 800, but seems to work well on other Lumias.
Initial assessment at XDA-Developers show improved battery drainage in idle mode, and an analysis of the ROM show 4 new camera modes:

Nokia for the past year or so has been on a crusade to dig the company out of irrelevancy in today’s super competitive mobile business. The Finnish-based phone maker teamed up with Microsoft to jazz things up on the operating system, shifting attention slightly away from its own OS Symbian. Now the company has its sights set on acquiring some talent on the development side.
On his blog this morning, Josh Marinacci, a developer/designer for Palm, announced that he would be leaving the troubled company after two years of service. He went on to explain himself as to why he came to the decision to leave, saying:

Telus has confirmed that it is launching the Nokia Lumia 800 on March 2nd. You’ll be able to choose between black, cyan and magenta versions, though no prices are given yet. With the Lumia 900 slated to be released on Rogers sometime in Q2, Canadians will soon be able to choose between two great Nokia Windows Phones.

Nokia N9 users, if you've yet to activate your beloved device today, then do so post-haste. It looks like our army of faithful tipsters found PR 1.2 ready to roll this morning. The 284MB update should be available worldwide, although a few users in Saudi Arabia are yet to see any goodies. Video calling, folder functionality and copy and paste should all be available in this release, but we'll let you get elbows-deep in the update and stop spoiling the surprises that are in store for you.

The Nokia Asha Series 40 phones were introduced at Nokia World last fall and today it expands by a few models, with the 202, 203 and 302. The 202 model is designed for "easy swap" SIM changes without powering off the phone, while the 203 is a single SIM model. Both expand the lower end line with access to 40 free games ( including Bejeweled, Need for Speed, Tetris, Sims Medieval) and Nokia Life services. The 302 (pictured above) will be the first to bring Microsoft Exchange support on Series 40, a feature that will also be added to the older 303. While we can't really say that we're surprised, Nokia has snagged the top spot for Windows Phone devices. Strategy Analytics reports that the Finnish smartphone maker now sits atop the global charts for the Microsoft mobile OS after being in the game for just one quarter. Nokia overtook HTC and Samsung to claim a 33% market share with 0.9 million out of the 2.7 million units shipped in Q4. Aided by the Lumia family's expansion to several new territories and the 36% growth of the platform overall for the quarter, the company has taken "an encouraging baby step forward." Looks like the corporate bromance between Microsoft and Nokia is stronger than ever. The Finnish handset maker has announced a suite of MS applications that is making its way to select Symbian handsets right this very moment. Users rocking a Belle device are being given access to a handful of apps from Redmond, which will include: OneNote, Document Connection, Lync and PowerPoint Broadcast. A second wave of Office-centric wares, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, will be made available at an undisclosed date in the not-to-distant future. We are less than 24 hours away from Nokia's Mobile World Congress 2012 press event and it appears one of the company's new Windows Phone devices has made its way online. A single image of an alleged Lumia 610 handset was posted to Twitter this weekend by an unofficial Nokia_N8 account. We are unable to confirm the authenticity of the image, but specifications for the rumored device appear to have leaked too.

Nokia is expected to make a splash at MWC today with the announcement of entry level Windows Phone Tango handsets like the rumored Lumia 610, as well as a version of AT&T's Lumia 900 for the rest of the world.
Besides the news on the Windows Phone front, we are also expecting with baited breath something associated with the Pureview brand, which all clues point to being a Nokia N8 successor with a giant camera sensor.

Nokia has announced the pricing and availability of its Lumia 710 and 800 Windows Phone 7 handsets in Australia.
Nokia managing director for Australia and New Zealand Chris Carr said the Lumia 710 would sell in Australia from March for $379 outright, alongside the Lumia 800 which will retail unlocked for $699.
The Lumia 800 will be available through all 3 major Australia carriers (Telstra, Optus and Vodafone) while the 710 will sell through Optus and Virgin Mobile, as well as retail outlets.

The Nokia Lumia 710 only launched in Portugal a week or two ago, but is already sold out at Vodafone Portugal. The country, where Nokia still has a very strong brand, have been waiting on tenterhooks for the launch of Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 handsets, which might explain the carrier running out of stock so quickly.

Vodafone UK will now be offering the Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia’s cheaperWindows Phone 7 handset.
The phone will be selling for £20.50 on 24 month plans – including 100 minutes, 500 texts, and 250MB of mobile data.
Users will be able to pick up the handset from Vodafone stores, where their contacts, photos etc can be transferred directly to the handset using Vodafone’s RED Box service, currently being promoted using the Nokia Lumia 800.
Buyers will also be able to get up to £270 for their old phone with Vodafone Buyback, and use Vodafone Data Test Drive for 3 months, which allows users to accurately estimate how much data they really use before committing to a data plan.
