One of the things that has been a limitation and annoyance to Android users is that the Android Market will only use the primary Google account associated with the phone, even though many other Google apps allow you to switch between accounts. Hidden in the latest update to the Market that was announced by Google is the ability to change the account that is used by the Android Market.
Previously, if you wanted to use a different Google account with the Android Market than the one you initially set the phone up with, you had to hard reset the device and start from scratch. Microsoft is aiming for 100 million Windows Phones per year

Microsoft’s chief operating officer Kevin Turner told WPC 11 attendees that Microsoft hoped to ship 100 million Windows Phone units each year on the back of its deal with Nokia.
"We have to do some very strategic things to get our mobile phone volume up," Turner said.
Turner said Microsoft’s plan was to win by making “big bets” including Windows Phone 7.
Possibly to help this goal Microsoft intended to build 75 more stores around USA to push their products, probably a good idea given the negative spin phone retailers currently give to Windows Phone 7 handsets, despite high customer satisfaction rates.

Many people want to be the first to use a shiny new piece of software, which could explain why one person tried to sell an early build of Windows 8.
An auction appeared on eBay offering a “real Windows 8 Milestone 3 leaked CD.” It's unknown if this disc was an official Microsoft pressing, but copies of Windows 8 Milestone 3 have been available off file sharing sites for some time now.
The auction has likely since caught the attention of Microsoft, which probably explains why the listing was pulled. According to WinRumors, the auction listing had a price of $1,500.

Microsoft has ended official support of Windows Vista Service Pack 1, with the software giant steadily ramping up the pressure on consumers and businesses to move to its Windows 7 OS.
With the call to leave XP still ringing in our ears, Microsoft has now reminded us that its support for Vista SP1 is now at an end.
In a blog post by Brandon Le Blanc, customers are urged to move on to Windows 7 or, at least, upgrade to Vista SP2.

Microsoft: 400 million Windows 7 licenses sold in 21 months

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has announced that Windows 7 has sold more than 400 million licenses so far, meaning it is still the fastest-selling operating system. Android 3.2 has been released to the open source community and is also on the way to Motorola Xoom tablets. The big thing about Android 3.2 is the support of 7-inch tablets like the announced tablets from Huawei and the ViewSonic. For existing tablets Android 3.2 offers zoom to fit. That means you can run Android phone apps in full size on your Xoom tablet.

References to "XBOX_360_SYSTEM_CRASH" have been found in the kernel code -- an odd bit of text to show up in software that's not designed to run on the 360's PowerPC CPU. Ballmer knows the fastest way to get people talking about Microsoft is if he slags off the competition, which is exactly what he did yesterday. Boasting, he compared 350m sold PCs in the last year with their rival selling just 20m.

Motorola updating Wi-Fi XOOM to Android 3.2

Motorola began issuing the Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) update to Wi-Fi XOOM owners on Tuesday. The patch reportedly adds support for the tablet’s SD card slot and also features a new screen zooming feature that will allow users to resize mobile applications so that they fit the screen appropriately. Android 3.2 will also add support for smaller tablets with 7-inch screens, many of which currently run older versions of Android such as Gingerbread. Google also announced that it is releasing parts of the Android 3.2 source code to the Android Open Source Project.
