Acer unveiled today their latest 3D HD monitor, the GR235H. This 23 inch screen is capable of displaying 3D content and it was designed mainly for gamers. The display features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 100000000:1 contrast ratio. Acer has also included a 2ms response time, which is ideal for video games and other programs that requires a fast reaction. The company has also included dual HDMI ports as well as a VGA. The HDMI ports allow the screen to be connected to a Blu-ray player or other HD device for regular viewing. ViewSonic puts out slim VX2451mhp-LED desktop display

ViewSonic has added another entry to its portfolio of higher-end computer LCDs. The 24-inch VX2451mhp-LED offers a 1080p resolution using LED backlighting. Its dynamic contrast ratio is a high claimed 20,000,000:1.
The display is pitched as eco-friendly in both its manufacture and real-world use. Its manufacturing process is both mercury-free and toxin-free, ViewSonic said. In Eco mode, its power consumption can be reduced by 50 percent. Video output typically consumes only 25W.
The display's viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical give away that it's likely using a lower-cost TN panel. Its average pixel refresh rate is 5ms. Typical brightness is rated at 300 cd/m2....

Samsung announced today that two new HD monitors are now available in the USA. The 23 inch S23A950D and the 27 inch S27A950D both feature full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Other major features include a 2ms response time, 3D technology, and 2D-to-3D conversion. Samsung has included several connection options like a RGB, HDMI, DisplayPort, and a DVI port. The company states that the monitors can also include a TV tuner as well in order to convert the displays to HDTVs. NEC just introduced two new monitors, with the ultra-slim, 20-inch MultiSync EX201W and 24-inch MultiSync P241W for professionals. The former is meant for home use or business applications and offers a 1600x900 resolution and a relatively slim 16.4mm thickness. It also has a 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 1,000:1 typical contrast ratio.
Other specs bring a 250cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time, while the horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 176 and 170, respectively. Connections include a DisplayPort and DVI-I inputs, with a USB port also present. An ambient light and a human presence sensor save energy.

Philips will be unveiling brand new HD monitors this week at IFA. Among them is the new “Ergosensor” screens, which features technology that can analyze the user’s working postion in front of the screen and give suggestions on ergonomic. Another model that will be released is the Moda monitor, which will feature a new LightFrame technology. This screen has a bezel that can emit a cool blue light to help stimulate the user’s vision. Lastly, the company will debut a new 27 inch 3D monitor that is designed for gamers. The screen will include a pair of 3D glasses. All of these screens will be on display this week at the 2011 IFA in Hall 22.

Samsung launched a new PC monitor targeting 3D gaming (as in gaming with stereo 3D). The SyncMaster S27A750D is a 27-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor that is geared for stereo 3D, thanks to support for 120 Hz refresh rate. The display boasts a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with 2 ms (GTG) response time. Other panel specifications include 10,000,000:1 Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio, and 300 cd/m² brightness.

Dell has recently released two new HD monitors, the U2212HM and U2312HM. Both screens sport a full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The screens measure 23 and 22 inches, respectively and use the company’s new IPS display panels. The IPS panels not only support full HD resolution, but also a 8ms response time, a 178 viewing angle, and uses LED backlighting. Dell rolled out a new ultra-slim 21.5 inch monitor, the S2230MX. It is just 9.9 mm thick at its thinnest point. The monitor is this slim thanks to two things: first, it uses LED-backlit illumination instead of CCFL; and second, it uses an external power brick. The Dell S2230MX uses a TN panel that provides 82% color gamut coverage.
