Looking to bring the gift of song to your new, somewhat limited edition Nokia N9? Good news, Spotify is offering itself up to the MeeGo gods, bringing its music streaming services to the slick handset by way of the Nokia Store. The app is free, but requires the customary Spotify Premium account for you to get any actual enjoyment out of the thing.

The Nokia Lumia 710 has shown up on Nokia’s US site as coming soon. Of note is that the higher specced Lumia 800 is not included in the list. Some are speculating the handset will show up in on T-Mobile USA.
Nokia is accepting sign-ups for more info on their product page here.
How do our US readers feel about only having access to the lower-end version of the Nokia’s portfolio initially? Let us know below.

Vodafone UK now offers Nokia 700 for 26 GBP per month
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA700
Nokia 700, which we know as one of the first Symbian Belle smartphones, is now available from Vodafone UK. The Big Red carrier is offering Nokia’s baby for free on a two-year 26 GBP per month contract. That money gets you 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 500 MB of mobile data and 1GB of BT OpenZone Wi-Fi each month. Alternatively, there’s the cheaper 20.50 GBP per month option that rocks 100 minutes, 500 texts, 250 MB of data and the same 1GB of BT OpenZone Wi-Fi access per month. With this plan, however, you’ll have to pour out 99 GBP to get the phone.
Not sure I can recommend a Symbian Belle device to anyone these days, especially when we know that the same cash can get you a decent Android s...

Nokia Sea Ray was once a MeeGo device for Verizon
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIALumia 800
If you aren’t yet over Nokia’s abrupt decision to put an end to the MeeGo project then you might not like knowing that the smartphone codenamed the Sea Ray was once a CDMA device bound for Verizon with MeeGo on-board.
The Nokia Sea Ray is a device rumored to be heading to AT&T and will be one of the Finnish manufacturer’s first handsets to feature the Windows Phone operating system. Recently some press photos surfaced of the Sea Ray which is also known as the Nokia 800. The hardware looks very similar to the MeeGo powered N9 that unfortunately won’t see the light of day in most countries.

Another photo of the Nokia Sabre leaks, confirms tiny screen, but is it real?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIASabre
WPCentral have been sent this supposed leaked shot of the Nokia Sabre, showing the device to feature a very small 3.5 inch screen.
The device also lacks any way to switch cameras, indicating no front facing camera.
On the other hand, the strategic location of that thumb over the Windows key does make me rather suspicious of a hoax, especially given the resemblance of the handset to the recently released Nokia 603 (right).
Do our readers think the device is real, or just Nokia throwing us off the trail? Let us know below.

Nokia 800 and other Windows Phone handsets revealed
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA800
Both Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and Microsoft chief Steve Ballmer have as good as confirmed that Nokia's first batch of Windows Phone handsets will be unveiled at Nokia World next week.
But that's not soon enough for the ever-hungry internet, as pictures of two of the line-up have made their way online.
The Nokia 800, previously known as the Sea Ray, is basically a rebadged Nokia N9 running Windows Phone 7.5 rather than the doomed MeeGo OS.

Press photos of Nokia 800 leak
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA800
The upcoming yet still unofficial Nokia 800 that many have come to know as the Sea Ray has leaked in a set of press photos that show off the Windows Phone powered device in three different colors.
There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the future Windows Phone handsets to be manufactured by the Finnish company. There haven’t been any announcements to this point regarding their handsets specs, pricing and availability. The leaked press photos show the Nokia 800 in three different colors, black, blue and pink, and remind us all
what type of appearance we can expect Nokia’s Windows Phone devices to have.

Nokia 800 to only cost 499 Euro
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA800
Plaffo has heard from trusted sources that the upcoming Nokia 800/Searay will be retailing for only 499 Euro (around £436/$682). This is of course much cheaper than HTC’s flagship, the HTC Titan, and as can be seen in the far right column of the price list above cheaper than many other handsets also.
In fact the earlier leaked price list above corroborates the rumour. Plaffo notes the right column is arranged from high to low, and the Blackberry Bold above seems to be 499 Euro also, and the one below 429 Euro.
We are of course expecting the handset to be announced next week, and the phones to be available across the major countries in Europe in the first week of November.

Nokia 710 spotted on developer site, probably not running 'Internet Tablet OS 2008 Edition'
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIALumia 710
With barely a few weeks before the phone giant's annual hurrah, Nokia World, kicks off in London, details have leaked of a new phone possibly winging its way to the Finnish faithful. According to MyNokiaBlog, the 710 is slightly longer and wider than the MeeGo-powered N9, with a 1.4GHz Cortex A8 processor, a 3.7-inch TFT screen and a five megapixel camera topped with some 720p video-capture frosting. All these details were swiftly pulled from the site, but not before the blog managed grab the screenshot above. A Nokia 710 also made a brief appearance on Occasional Gamer, which registers phone use on WP7 games. Most of the details match up with the Nokia Sun we saw earlier this month, though ...

Nokia N9: The Most Amazing Phone You’ll Never Buy
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIAN9
Nokia was nice enough to loan me a Nokia N9, its first and almost certainly last MeeGo-powered smartphone, after I not-so-subtly pointed out that I’d love to give the thing a solid whirl. After having played with it for a day now, I’ll tell you why I think it’s a phenomenal smartphone that rivals the best of ‘em, and why you would probably be better off not buying one anyway.
I’ll start off by explaining that I’m not qualified to be a professional smartphone reviewer, whatsoever. We have our former CrunchGear and MobileCrunch slaves for that type of stuff. That said, I’ve used a bunch of smartphones over the years, of all shapes and sizes, and I know damn well what I want.
If you’re looking ...

Nokia N800 Windows Phone 7.5 handset promo leaked
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA800
The long-awaited Nokia Windows Phone 7.5 handset may arrive before the end of the year, after promotional materials for a device called the Nokia 800 were uncovered.
The handset could be the Nokia Windows Phone previously previously known as the Sea Ray and appears in a pair of posters revealed on the Pocketnow website.
Nokia World, which takes place later this month in London, it represents the last real opportunity for the Finnish company to reveal its Windows Phone hand and get the devices out before 2011 is out.
Finally a sunrise for Nokia?
One ad which shows a screen shot of the device says: "Today the sun will rise and set, the rest is up for grabs," while a second promo reveals the de...

Nokia Tries To Play It Cool With New Dubstep Ringtone
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA
OK, Nokia, we get it: you want to be cool. The Nokia/Monster headphones spotted a few days back was a start, but what better way to attract a hip young crowd than to jazz up your iconic jingle with some dubstep?
In fairness, Nokia didn’t actually design the thing themselves. Instead, they launched a contest last September where they asked people to submit fresh takes on Grande Valse, the Spanish guitar tune that’s been burned into every Nokia user’s brain since 1994.
The Finnish company received over 6,000 entries (some of which weren’t even ringtones, apparently), and a panel of 7 judges sifted through all of them to find a winner.
Valerio Alessandro Sizzi’s dubstep remix took top honors, a...

Nokia 603 about to be unveiled at Nokia World, en masse Symbian Belle updates might be coming too
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIA603
It seems that Nokia is ploughing ahead with the promise to out 10 new Symbian handsets be next summer. It already did out four - the Nokia 500, 600, 700 and 701, and now a fifth is rumored to be on the way in time to be announced at Nokia World October 26-27 in London - the Nokia 603.
The specs are in line with the new crop - 1GHz processor and 5MP fixed-focus camera on the usual 360x640 resolution. It also has pentaband 14.4Mbps HSDPA and NFC, so it is a step above the low-end Nokia 500, with probably a bigger screen, but keeps the interchangeable battery colors from the 500 to spice things up.

Nokia Sun leaks in an Orange roadmap with a micro SIM, availability November 7-13
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIALumia 800
A French tech blog, dedicated to Windows Phone, has been tipped with the latest Orange France roadmap, and the carrier is listing the availability of a Nokia Sun on its shelves in week 46, which is 7-13 November, just two weeks after the expected Nokia World announcement of the first Nokia Windows Phones.
The Nokia Sun is listed as sporting a 3.7" AMOLED display, that deep-colored polycarbonate unibody we see on the Nokia N9, a 1.4GHz processor, 8MP camera, 16GB of internal memory and... a micro SIM card, like on the Nokia N9. What brings credibility to the roadmap is the Sharp Aquos 3D phone listed at the top, with its stereoscopic 8MP cameras, since we know it was announced to appear exclu...

Nokia Ace: The third Nokia Windows Phone surfaces
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIALumia 900
We’ve already heard that Nokia might be launching not one but two Windows Phone 7 smartphones at the end of October; however, we're now hearing rumours that Nokia could be planning a third handset as well.
Over the weekend spec details leaked out for the Nokia Ace thanks to MyNokiaBlog.com.
Sent in by an anonymous tipster, so the information has to be taken with a pinch of salt, the new phone will supposedly come with better specs than the already rumoured Sea Ray (yes it’s all a bit wishy washy isn’t it).
