Sony Launches New Interchangeable Lens Camcorder: NEX-VG20

In addition to announcing two new NEX cameras—the NEX-7 and NEX-5N—Sony unveiled the NEX-VG20 camcorder, which is the successor to last year’s innovative NEX-VG10. Like the VG10, the VG20 blurs the line between camera and camcorder with its interchangeable lens system that allows it to work with any of Sony’s E-Mount lenses.

JVC’s Falconbird image engine is a remarkable little chipset that provide the necessary processing power to handle heavy HD but also 4K2K videos, and today, JVC announced that its new compact (50.5x55x110.5mm for 235g) Everio GZ-HM670, a 3.32Mpix camcorder will featuring Falconbird chipset for smooth HD video recoding.
Other noticeable features on this new GZ-HM670 are its 40x Konica Minolta Optical Zoom, its BSI CMOS Sensor (Back Side Illuminated) and its 32GB of internal memory as well as its SDX Slot.
Along side the GZ-HM670’s announcement, JVC also introduced the CU-BD50 an external Blu-Ray writer made to unload your GZ-HM670’s videos on a Blu-Ray disk on the go.

BenQ Releases DV-S11 Projector Camera in USA

BenQ announced last year their DV-S11 projector camera. Today, the company finally released the device in the USA. The DV-S11 is one of the few camera-projector hybrids currently on the market. It looks like a typical pico projector with a 3.5” LCD touchscreen. The camera is able to record full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution video or a 5MP still frame. The projector is capable of displaying a 50 inch screen, but unfortunately that’s all the specifications the company is giving. The DV-S11 is available now through the company’s website or through select retailers for $229.

Back in January, Sony announces their PJ Series. This series is the company’s latest line of HD digital cameras. In the series is the HDR-PJ50, which is the company’s first projector camera hybrid. Today, the company was proud to announce that this device was released in India. The HDR-PJ50’s main feature is the HD digital camera. It is capable of recording 7.1 megapixel still images or full HD (1920 x 1080) video. It comes with a 220GB internal memory and slots to connect external storage devices. The projector is attached to the flip-out LCD panel and it is capable of displaying up to a 1.5 meter (60 inches), diagonally, from a distance of 3 meter (9.8 feet) away. We have talked on more than one occasion about the cheap cameras and camcorders that DXG offers. The last product we saw from the company was a 3D camcorder called the DXG-321 that isn’t cheap at right under $600. DXG is back with a new point and shoot 3D camera that is much cheaper than that camcorder at only $69.99. The camera is called the DXG-018 and it comes in five different colors. The camera has two lenses for the 3D effects.
The image sensor is a 0.3M CMOS sensor and it has auto/ISO 100 sensitivity. The camera can focus on things as close as 6-inches and saves photos to SD cards up to 16GB the image resolution is 1.3MP and the shutter can activate in 1/20 to 1/4000 of a second. Powe...
