Back in January, BenQ unveiled their first laser-based projectors, the LX60ST, and LW61ST. Today, the company announced that these projectors are now available in the USA exclusively through AVI-SPL and Projector People. This will only last until April though and then the projectors will be available through other certified retailers. The LX60ST and LW61ST both come with 2000 ANSI lumens and an 80000:1 contrast ratio. They also have a native XGA (1024 x 768) and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, respectively. BenQ announced today that they have released two new educational projectors, the LX60ST and LW61ST. Both models are capable of displaying 2000 ANSI lumens, and an 80000:1 contrast ratio. The main difference is that the LX60ST has a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, while the LW61ST has a native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. What makes these projectors special is that they are the first from BenQ to use a laser-based light source. BenQ's XL2420T and XL2420TX gaming LCDs have been around the block a time or two, but the outfit's taking advantage of this week's Consumer Electronics Show to launch 'em both here in North America. The range is available across quite a few screen sizes (17-, 19-, 21.5-, 22-, 23- and 24-inch), with pricing hitting around the $500 to $600 mark. A bit pricey at first blush, but what'd you really expect for a monitor that's certified as NVIDIA 3D Vision 2-ready? Exactly.

BenQ announced today the release of their latest home theater projector, the W1060. This model is ideal for multipurpose rooms that can’t be completely dark. The projector features 2000 ANSI lumens, a 5000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. This is the first home theater projector from BenQ to feature 1080p resolution and retail for under $1000. It doesn’t include the new 3D technology, but it still a fairly impressive device that can create images as large as 300 inches, diagonally. BenQ has also included a diverse connection panel that has a RGB, composite, s-video, component, and dual HDMI ports. The projector is available now through certified retailers.

BenQ announced the release of their W7000 projector last month. But today, the company finally announced a retail price. The W7000 is the company’s latest home theater projector and it comes with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2000 ANSI lumens, and a 50000:1 contrast ratio. The projector is the first to receive the TUV Rheinland 3D full HD Certification. BenQ has also included a diverse connection panel that includes RGB, dual HDMI, a component, and an s-video connection. The BenQ W1200 projector is one of the company’s new home theater projectors this year. Today, it was discovered that the device has received a price cut. Originally, the projector retails for about $1499, but now it can be found for just under $1000. The W1200 is capable of displaying 1800 ANSI lumens, a 5000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. It is also one of the first projectors from BenQ to feature 3D technology. The projector is light and easy to install and setup. It comes with a diverse connection panel that includes dual HDMI ports, a RGB, component, s-video, and a composite connection. There are also dual 10 watt speakers to provide suitable sound quality.

The BenQ GH600 is a 16-megapixel camera with 25-525mm equivalent zoom lens. Unlike its stablemate the BenQ GH700, the GH600 shoots 720p rather than 1080p video. uses a CCD rather than a BSI CMOS sensor, and features Tv and Av shooting modes in addtion to P and M. Otherwise the two models are quite similar, sharing the same 21x zoom lens, optical image stabilisation and 3” rear screen with a resolution of 460,000 dots. The BenQ GH600 is available in white and black colours.

The W7000 also comes with 2000 ANSI lumens and a 50000:1 contrast ratio. BenQ is also stating that the W7000 is also the world’s first to receive the TUV Rheinland 3D full HD Certification. Hot on the heels of BenQ's recent RTS gamers display launch, the Taiwanese firm has announced the addition of two new models to their range aimed at FPS gamers. The XL2420T and XL2420TX are both 24" 3D display models and support Nvidia's 3D Vision 2 technology.
They both feature LED-backlit TN panels with a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, a 2ms GTG (gray to gray) response time, 120Hz refresh rate, a typical brightness of 350 cd/m2 and a contrast rate of 1,000:1. BenQ unveiled today their latest home theater projector, the W710ST. The company says that this projector is the world’s first HD short throw home entertainment projector.
