When the Galaxy S III does land in the US, it might not have that rumored quad-core chip. That’s according to a Samsung executive speaking to The Korea Times, who told the publication that Galaxy S IIIs in different markets will feature different chips. In Europe, the GSIII will feature Samsung’s Exynos quad-core processor, while Qualcomm’s chips will be used in the United States.

This app synthetically tests several elements in the device you run it on including graphics and CPU processing power. What you’ll find here is not only details and specifications in the device, but that it appears very much to be the new king of the pack as far as this particular test goes.

Samsung Galaxy S III found in Kies, confirms GT-i9300 model number

SamMobile spotted a couple of references in Samsung's own Kies app that confirms that the GT-i9300 model is for the Samsung Galaxy S III. The Kies software, used for syncing, shows two variants of the Samsung Galaxy S III. One is labeled as the Samsung GT-i9300 and other is the Samsung GT-i9300T. The "T" could stand for a different radio frequency used in a different country or by a different carrier.

Another Galaxy S III prototype spotted in protective casing

While we've already gotten glimpses of supposed Samsung Galaxy S III prototypes, this latest one has popped up in a (since removed) post on Chinese forum Mobile01. The plastic rim meant to obscure the device's sleek new design is still present, but as noted by The Verge, the picture appears to show a larger menu button than we're used to on stock ICS. We should find out what the deal is in just a few days, we'll keep our apps and countdown clocks close by until then.

Vodafone to launch next Samsung Galaxy phone

Vodafone has confirmed that it will be stocking the next Samsung Galaxy, with a source telling TechRadar that it's 'highly anticipated' to be named the Samsung Galaxy S3.
A new page has appeared on Vodafone's website which allows customers to register for updates on the next Galaxy device from Samsung.
A TechRadar source close to the manufacturer has said that it's "highly anticipate the current page on the Vodafone website will change over to a Samsung Galaxy S3 holding page in the near future".

Samsung's S-Cloud tipped to arrive alongside the Galaxy S III next month

Korean newspaper Maeil Business believes that Samsung's finally ironed out the kinks in its S-Cloud service and will unveil it alongside the Galaxy S III at next month's event. The Korean giant will reportedly offer an "unlimited service" with less of the content or storage restrictions imposed by iCloud. It'll also apparently come with a VOD-store, offering up audio and video content for a fee, presumably beside what's available in Google Play. It's also reporting that the company's Media Solution Center has asked Microsoft to join KT and Amazon in developing the infrastructure to ensure a smooth launch. While we’re more than aware that Samsung is set to announce the upcoming Galaxy S III on May 3rd, a new teaser site has popped up that shows a countdown that ends tomorrow.
Sammy set the stage for the new site in a simple tweet, “Destination: tgeltaayehxnx”. The anagram spells out The Next Galaxy, and if you direct your browser to tgeltaayehxnx.com, you’ll find the countdown. Said countdown ends tomorrow, so we know it’s not for the actual device itself but it does look like Samsung wants to let us in on some information pertaining to its next flagship device.

Everyone expects Samsung to introduce the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S III on May 3rd. The sequel to the wildly popular Samsung Galaxy S II is the most anticipated smartphone of the year to date. According to sources for CNET, the Korean based manufacturer will introduce more than just a smartphone at the event. CNET's sources say to expect the introduction of a tablet with a 10.1 inch display but don't expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) as that tablet is being delayed for a quad-core processor. The tablet rumored to be announced on May 3rd will feature a dual-core processor.

Amazon's German site appears to be taking pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the most anticipated new smartphone on the face of the planet. For 599 EUROS, the equivalent of nearly $793 U.S. Dollars, you can have the device reserved. The price includes VAT and according to the site, the device is not yet available.
There were no pictures of the phone included with the listing, but some of the specs were mentioned such as the 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen that shows 16 million colors, and a 12MP camera with AF, LED flash and face detection.
