Dell's Latitude XT3 tablet PC gets a product page, spins around for your amusement
Like UnlikeFiled in: NotebooksDellLatitude XT3
Well lookee here -- it's the snazzy new Dell tablet PC that we first spotted way back in February. The Latitude XT3 finally has a product page to call its own, yet another hint that it will be swiveling its way into the hands and hearts of buyers in the near future -- a notion further driven home by the convertible's recent cameo on the FCC. The 13.3-inch laptop sports an Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processor, Windows 7, and works with a finger or stylus -- remember those?

Dell Venue Pro now available for 199 Euro without contract!
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesDellVenue Pro
If you are Nokia hater like me, but you would like to get decent Windows Phone 7 device, then you can get one if you live or visit Germany:
The phone has slide-out QWERTY keyboard (or QWERTZ to be precise as it is German version) and features 16 GB and 1GHz processor. Interestingly both Dell and other online retailers still offer this phone for 399 Euro, so this discount price at Media Markt is exceptionally low, particularly considering that it is a phone without contract. It’s almost prepaid phone price!
With the new firmware update for the Dell Venue Pro fixing most of the complaints about the device, and Mango on the horizon, it may just be a great deal.

Dell considering using Google+ Hangouts for customer support
Like UnlikeFiled in: DellGoogle
Michael Dell is toying with the idea of using Google+ Hangouts for Dell’s customer support. The service allows users to initiate a video chat session with multiple people inside their Google+ circles. “I am thinking about hangouts for business. Would you like to be able to connect with your Dell service and sale teams via video directly from Dell.com?” he posted on his Google+ page on Sunday. The idea was an instant success: 556 people had given the comment a +1 as of Tuesday morning and hundreds more left comments in support of the suggestion. As GigaOm points out, it is currently not possible to start a “Hangout” session from anywhere but from inside Google+ itself. The social network is s...

Dell Venue Pro firmware update silences WiFi woes
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesDellVenue Pro
We wouldn't say it was delivered with lightning speed, but Dell's firmware update for the Venue Pro is at least on schedule. The outfit's Lionel Menchaca tweeted that the refresh, which brings a fix for a WiFi lockup issue (among others), "starts rolling out today for T-Mobile customers in the US + all other customers outside the US." Unfortunately for AT&T customers sporting this pro phone, it looks like you'll be left in the firmware lurch a bit longer --- there's been no mention of a similar update for Ma Bell.

Dell Latitude XT3 convertible tablet hits FCC
Like UnlikeFiled in: NotebooksDellLatitude XT3
It’s been a long time since we heard anything about the Dell Latitude XT3 convertible. This is the machine that I mentioned back in February that converts from a notebook to a tablet with a swiveling screen. If you are interested in a convertible tablet, this rig has finally hit the FCC after hiding in the closet for the last several months. Interestingly the tablet didn’t cross the FCC at Dell’s behest.
The machine was part of a filing that Broadcom made apparently for a WLAN card that it provides for the computer. We do know a bit more about the specs of the convertible now than we did back in February. The XT3 will use a dual-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2520 processor and pack in 2GB of RAM...

Dell Latitude Notebooks Get Verizon 4G LTE
Like UnlikeFiled in: DellVerizon Wireless
Notebooks are supposed to be portable much like our tablets and smartphones, but for some reason they never have wireless connectivity built-in other than WiFi. Well, that’s about to change with select Dell Latitude notebooks. Not only will they be getting wireless connectivity, they’ll be getting the blazing fast Verizon 4G LTE.
Dell Latitude notebooks are designed with the mobile business professional in mind with fast performance, 12-hour battery-life, and enterprise security and durability. But with the help of Verizon, the notebooks are even better for mobile professionals.

Dell Venue Pro Update Schedule Confirmed
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesDellVenue Pro
What a month it’s been for Dell and Dell Venue Pro users! Users have been given an overall preview of the final firmware update and afterward an official word that the DVP update is coming, there aren’t many more questions to be answered.
Except, the date when all users will receive the update.
Currently, Dell is flashing new firmware to new DVPs! Secondly, all users except ATT will have a push update to come on July 13. So for many users that is fantastic news! ATT users will receive the update but sometime in early August. Dell is working pretty hard on the updates. Sit tight ATT users, your day in the sun is coming too. And trust me, you won’t be disappointed with the results. No one will...
