ChevronWP7 is a utility that allows consumers to developer unlock their Windows Phone 7 devices. This provides the capability to side-load applications to the phone without going through the Marketplace, as well as providing lower level access to things like the system registry. Typically this functionality requires a $99 per year subscription to Microsoft’s App Hub.

The Snapdragon MSM8x60 supports speeds of up to 1.5 Ghz and 16 megapixel dual camera support and is built on 45 nm technology.
Qualcomm has previously said they were working very closely with Microsoft on Mango and will be exclusive processor provider the next wave of Windows Phone 7 handsets.

There has been speculation that Microsoft will drop the Windows CE kernel for some time now, and this only accelerated once Microsoft ported Windows 8 to ARM.
Now Tom Hounsell, hacking around the recently leaked Windows 8 build has found some SMS handling code in some .dll’s at C:\Windows\\WinMetadata\*.dll.

Nokia VP Victor Saeijs has this week disclosed the six launch markets for the vanguard devices born out of the Microsoft-Nokia partnership. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK will all count themselves as hosts to Nokia's Windows Phone debut, but the company's mother nation of Finland has strangely been left out in the cold. Knowing Nokia, there's no doubt that once the WP7 handsets are ready they'll find themselves swiftly available worldwide, but if you care to be among the very first to own one, you'll be wanting to visit Europe's western shores -- preferably some time before the year's through, as Mr. Saeijs also reaffirmed that there will indeed be a Nokia Windows...
