Samsung on Monday started showing a teaser video (embedded below) for its upcoming next-generation Galaxy S. Following a countdown that started Sunday, the clip is short on details but talks about having a galaxy that "fits perfectly into your hand." In a probable dig at Apple, it also claims that the new phone will help avoid users become "sheep," an ironic statement for a company hoping to outsell Apple in smartphones.

Samsung's popular Galaxy Nexus finally landed on Sprint, though not without complications.
The Galaxy Nexus is currently the flagship device for Google's Android 4.0 OS, or Ice Cream Sandwich, which we called "savvy, futuristic and both competent and confident."
The Sprint version doesn't bring too many new features to the table. And, those hoping to take advantage of the phone's fast 4G LTE network capabilities will have to wait a while.

Samsung has posted a list of the smartphones and tablets available in the U.S. that it plans to upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at some point this year. Most of the phones on the list have already been promised upgrades to Android 4.0 by their carriers, but it never hurts to have further confirmation from the manufacturer. Still missing from the upgrade list? Any variant of the original Galaxy S, though, that's not entirely unexpected.

After reaching overseas versions of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the official Android 4.0 update is now reaching US versions of the unlocked device. The 216.6MB over-the-air update is gradually being released to handsets, though users can go and check for its availability by going into the Settings menu.
Like in the last update for the overseas handsets, TouchWiz is retained and the Android 4.0 UI is relatively invisible. Users will get Face Unlock, however, and support for newer apps including Chrome for Android and other, less visible upgrades.

Korean newspaper Maeil Business believes that Samsung's finally ironed out the kinks in its S-Cloud service and will unveil it alongside the Galaxy S III at next month's event. The Korean giant will reportedly offer an "unlimited service" with less of the content or storage restrictions imposed by iCloud. It'll also apparently come with a VOD-store, offering up audio and video content for a fee, presumably beside what's available in Google Play. It's also reporting that the company's Media Solution Center has asked Microsoft to join KT and Amazon in developing the infrastructure to ensure a smooth launch. SocialNuggets scans social networks like Facebook and Twitter to see what people are thinking based on their comments. According to their index for smartphones, at the end of the first quarter of 2012, it was the Samsung GALAXY Note that was the on the top of the list. The cross between a phone and a tablet with its 5.3 inch screen, the phablet had the Samsung Galaxy S II trailing behind it, followed by the Apple iPhone 4S.
Yes, there are some surprises on the list such as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 which finished the quarter in 6th place. The Nokia Lumia 800 is almost neck and neck with the Apple iPhone 4S for third place. Another site that measures social sentiment on Twitter is Sentiment140...

Saturday, we showed you User Agent Profile information that hinted at a T-Mobile version of the Samsung GALAXY Note. Now, TmoNews has obtained a number of screenshots showing off what appears to be a T-Mobile variant of the Samsung GALAXY Note. The model number is SGH-T879 and the build number of IML74K.144 matches the build number of the AT&T version of the phablet. This makes sense since both models were built at the same time and are true brothers.

A minor fix for the GSM variant of the Samsung GALAXY Nexus has been sent out to owners of the device. It takes the build of the OS to IMM76I, from the older IMM76D. The problems that the handset has been having are minor, but are a nuisance. For example, one bug caused the screren lock to lag whenever the automatic brightness was engaged. Some owners had been having a problem receiving a steady signal,
The update should be rolled out over the next few weeks. If you don't want to wait around for the OTA notification, you can attempt to update manually your GALAXY Nexus as long as it is of the "yakju" variety. Let us know what changes you've spotted after the update.

While we’re more than aware that Samsung is set to announce the upcoming Galaxy S III on May 3rd, a new teaser site has popped up that shows a countdown that ends tomorrow.
Sammy set the stage for the new site in a simple tweet, “Destination: tgeltaayehxnx”. The anagram spells out The Next Galaxy, and if you direct your browser to tgeltaayehxnx.com, you’ll find the countdown. Said countdown ends tomorrow, so we know it’s not for the actual device itself but it does look like Samsung wants to let us in on some information pertaining to its next flagship device.

Sprint's first 4G LTE smartphones, the Google Galaxy Nexus and the LG Viper 4G LTE, will be available for purchase online and in stores today. Unfortunately, buyers won't be able to take advantage of the devices' 4G LTE capabilities until Sprint launches its own LTE network later this year.
The Galaxy Nexus offered by Sprint is the same model as offered by Verizon Wireless, and it features a 4.65-inch, 720p (720 x 1280 pixel) Super AMOLED display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It runs a stock version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 5 megapixel camera with zero shutter lag.

Everyone expects Samsung to introduce the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S III on May 3rd. The sequel to the wildly popular Samsung Galaxy S II is the most anticipated smartphone of the year to date. According to sources for CNET, the Korean based manufacturer will introduce more than just a smartphone at the event. CNET's sources say to expect the introduction of a tablet with a 10.1 inch display but don't expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) as that tablet is being delayed for a quad-core processor. The tablet rumored to be announced on May 3rd will feature a dual-core processor.

Amazon's German site appears to be taking pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the most anticipated new smartphone on the face of the planet. For 599 EUROS, the equivalent of nearly $793 U.S. Dollars, you can have the device reserved. The price includes VAT and according to the site, the device is not yet available.
There were no pictures of the phone included with the listing, but some of the specs were mentioned such as the 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen that shows 16 million colors, and a 12MP camera with AF, LED flash and face detection. The Samsung Galaxy Beam projector phone has been fairly popular since its debut. It is the first of its kind to be manufactured by a major company. Today, anticipating customers got some good news as the FCC announced that this device is cleared to retail in the USA.
