Microsoft launches Bing Deals website
Like UnlikeFiled in: Microsoft
Microsoft announced and launched a new deals website on Friday tied to its growing Bing suite of services. Bing Deals is a shopping site that compiles specials from GroupOn, Target, LivingSocial, Nordstrom and others. “Instead of building another program, we’re harnessing deals from major providers and retailers,” said Bing senior director Lisa Gurry. Microsoft’s Bing Deals offers more than 200,000 specials across the United States and, as a deal aggregator, it should eliminate the need to sign up for email alerts from multiple coupon-based services.

Motorola Xoom 2 tablets get snapped again
Like UnlikeFiled in: TabletsMotorolaXOOM 2
The recently-snapped Motorola Xoom 2 has now enjoyed a thorough photo-shoot, with the new pictures revealing a second slate and more of its buttons.
No need to squint with these shots, with the anonymous photographer obviously au fait with focusing a camera.
The shots show off the tablets' various buttons in all their glory – the volume slider and what is likely the power/screen lock button are mounted on the curved edge of the slate towards the back.
There's also a camera with LED flash and a sticker announcing the models' code names, with both coming under the Fleming sobriquet and purported to support LTE connectivity.
The next-gen Xooms also come with 8.2-inch screens and seems to be ver...

JPMorgan analysts noted that it’s the first cut they’ve seen for the iPad so far.

Leak: 10.1 inch and 8.2 inch second generation Motorola Xoom tablets
Like UnlikeFiled in: TabletsMotorola
Remember the Motorola Xoom, the fist Android Honeycomb tablet to hit the market? Don’t worry if you don’t. It was a horrible product, and pretty much every Android tablet after it, except for maybe the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Transformer, has been equally as bad. It’s not that Android tablets are built poorly, it’s just Honeycomb is so … there’s no word to express the amount of disappointment we have for the obviously rushed OS Google put out there. On a lighter note, we’ve got some information to share about the successor to the Xoom, aptly called the Xoom 2.

Samsung announces the Galaxy S II HD LTE in South Korea
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsung
South Korean handset vendor Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy S II variant we’ve all been waiting for: The Galaxy S II HD LTE. Just as the name implies, this smartphone is capable of using LTE networks, has a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels which delivers an astonishing 316 pixels per inch, and other than that … it’s basically got the same guts as the 4.5 inch Galaxy S II LTE that was announced at IFA in late August. Inside there’s a dual core 1.5 GHz processor, what we assume to be 1 GB of RAM, and an 8 megapixel camera than can also capture 1080p video. Will this thing come to American shores? Probably. It’s likely that what you’re looking at be...

We saw the Samsung Galaxy S II for AT&T at the unveiling event recently, and while we had a little bit of time with it, we really couldn’t get a feel for the device since it was tethered and tied down. Now that we have our review unit in tow, we’ve been able to spend a little more time with the device and can give you more thorough initial impressions. Oh yeah, and a photo gallery.

More pictures of the LG LU6200 leak, is it the LG Revolution 2?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesLGSpectrum
Last Saturday, we showed you pictures of a device that LG had put up a teaser page for, the LG LU6200 which is also rumored to be the LG Revolution 2. The first-gen LG Revolution was launched on May 26th and not enough time has elapsed to really start thinking about a sequel, even taking into consideration the shorter life cycles that most models have these days. Besides, the LG LU6200 is being aimed at the moment for the Korean market only, where pre-orders are starting on Sunday with a launch scheduled for early next-month. By the time the device reaches the States-if it ever does-more months will have gone by since the original LG Revolution was rolled out making the time between the orig...

FCC’s net neutrality to take effect November 20
Like UnlikeThe Federal Communications Commission will be publishing the net neutrality rules tomorrow, which will take effect starting November 20. The new rules barely passed last December with a 3-2 party-line vote, but have not taken effect yet largely due to continued opposition and the FCC dragging its feet on publishing them to the Federal Register.
The net neutrality rules ban internet providers from deliberately blocking or slowing legal internet traffic. However, they do not prevent providers from offering faster traffic for companies that may need it for delivering video, games, and other services. The rules also offer more protection for consumers, requiring providers to be give more informa...
