Sennheiser's high-end world has plenty of excitement to offer. At this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the audio specialist is unveiling a set of new premium headphones, the HD 700. These fully open dynamic stereo headphones combine high-end sound with an innovative headphone design.
"The HD 700 features a perfect combination of outstanding acoustic properties and sophisticated product design," said Maurice Quarré, Director Product Lifecycle Management Sennheiser Consumer Electronics. "Its styling and material selection have been thought through down to the finest detail in order to fully exploit the sound potential of the acoustic unit."

JVC has launched the world’s first 4K handheld camcorder, the JVC GY-HMQ10, packing a 1/2-inch 8.3-megapixel CMOS sensor capable of recording 3840 x 2160 footage at 24p, 50p or 60p. Priced at just under $5k, the GY-HMQ10 can also output 4k footage in real-time, and has an f/2.8 10x zoom lens with optical image stabilizer, as well as a color viewfinder and 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD. Inside there’s JVC’s own Falconbrid LSI processing engine – last seen at CES 2011 in the JVC GS-TD1 3D camcorder, when the company promised us a 4k model was in the pipeline - which saves variable bit rate H.264 codec clips to SDHC or SDXC memory cards. Move over, Microsoft Kinect. Panasonic said Tuesday that it will begin building in speech recognition into future televisions and other consumer electronics devices.
In addition, the CE giant also said that it would begin putting the Flixster application on Panasonic's Viera Connect devices including HDTVs and Blu-ray players, allowing users to tap into their UltraViolet content.
Panasonic said that it had licensed a large-vocabulary speech library from Novauris, which co-developed the NovaLite speech recognition software product for use with Panasonic, and to license to other TV and CE makers who wish to build in speech recognition. NovaLite will be available this quarter, Novauris said.

Toshiba has unleashed its first full HD 3D camcorder in the shape of the Toshiba Camileo Z100. Not only can the camcorder capture dazzling (apparently) 3D, but it can also play it back on the 7.1cm glasses-free 3D touchscreen. Now that's multi-tasking. The dual lens system also offers 8x digital zoom, full HD 2D capture (1920 x 1080 at 30fps) and can take still pictures up to 16MP.

First announced in February of last year, Imagination Technologies has officially announced the licensing availability of its first two GPUs based on the Series6 platform. The PowerVR G6200 and G6400 each promise to bring low power graphics to unprecedented levels and are said to deliver up to 20 times more horsepower than the current generation while also being five times more efficient. The all-metal, 16-megapixel Olympus VR-340 and VR-360 come equipped with 24-240mm and 24-300mm equivalent lenses, respectively. Both are slim, compact cameras with a small right-hand grip, sensor-shift image stabilisation, 720p HD movie recording capability, Magic Filters, Eye-Fi memory card support and a 3” rear screen with 460,000 dots. Both VR cameras will be available in March 2012. The Olympus VR-360 costs €149, while the VR-340 will sell for €129 / £129.99.

Kodak has unveiled new compact cameras to sit in its Easyshare and Playfull range, along with two new apps for creating albums and prints. The first camera, the Kodak Easyshare M750, enables users to share pictures instantly. Using the Kodak Easyshare app on Android, Apple or BlackBerry devices enables pictures to be sent wirelessly to Facebook, Kodak Gallery and email, as well as emailing pictures to compatible Kodak printers. Casio has brought six new models in its Slim range of thin DLP projectors to CES. The XJ-A141, XJ-A146, XJ-A241, XJ-A246, XJ-A251, and XJ-A256 are squeezed into cases just 1.7 inches thick, and offer a range of resolutions, brightnesses, and connectivity options. The higher-end -6 models offer MobiShow for collaborative presentations via Wi-Fi, USB mass storage support, and a built-in presentation timer. Toshiba's 2012 line of Blu-ray players will support DLNA streaming, as well as the now-standard Netflix, Vudu, and YouTube playback. The 2D and 3D players will match the design of the company's Aero LED TVs and come in Wi-Fi ready models available in April and Wi-Fi enabled versions coming in May. Pricing hasn't been announced, but we may be able to find out today on the floor at CES.
