Epson has been unveiling several new 3D projectors recently. The latest is the new EH-TW5900, which features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2000 ANSI lumens, and a 20000:1 contrast ratio. The projector can display 3D content with the help from active 3D glasses. The projector is not as powerful as some of the other models that have been unveiled, but it is still sufficient to display a quality image. The connection panel has been fitted with a diverse selection, including RGB, HDMI, composite, s-video, and several audio ports as well. The EH-TW5900 is not expected to release until November and it will retail for just under £1000 ($1539).

Epson was happy to announce today that they have received the 2011 Japanese Good Design Award in 5 separate categories. Among them include the EH-TW6000, who won the Best Projector award and the EH-TW8000 who won the Best Home Cinema Projector. Both projectors feature 3LCD display technology and 3D capabilities. The TW6000 can display 2200 ANSI lumens and a 40000:1 contrast ratio. The TW8000 features 2400 ANSI lumens and a 200000:1 contrast ratio. Both models come with a native 1080p HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Both models have not hit the retail market yet, but they will be before the end of the year.

Epson Unveils PowerLite S11 and X12 Projectors

Epson has recently unveiled two new projectors for the educational market, the PowerLite S11 and X12. These two models are expected to replace two other projectors in Epson’s lineup. The S11 features 2600 ANSI lumens, a SVGA (800 x 600) resolution, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The X12 has the same contrast ratio, but also comes with a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 2800 ANSI lumens. Both projectors have been given a wide array of features, like an assortment of setup features, an extended lamp life, direct power on/off, and closed captioning. The S11 and X12 are both available now through certified retailers. They retail for $449 and $549, respectively.

Epson has launched a pair of new projectors that are aimed at the users of Apple iOS gear like the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. The new projectors are both in the MegaPlex line and there are two models. The two models include the MG-850HD and the MG-50. Both of the projectors share some of the same features. Both of them have a rear dock where the Apple gear sits to send the video out to a much larger screen.

Videophiles that prefer the tiny package of a projector should take a look at Epson's new PowerLite Pro Cinema 6010 or its refreshed Home Cinema models. Not only do they display 1080P, some models support 2D to 3D video conversion.

The Pro Cinema 6010 and Home Cinema 5010 are the premiere models for those with a slug of extra cash. The two models have a contrast ratio of up to 200,000:1 and deliver up to 2,400 lumens of color. Last week, Epson unveiled their first 3D projector, the EH-T9000W. Today, the company unveiled a second model, the EH-TW9000W. This version seems very similar to the model announced last week. It comes with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2400 ANSI lumens, and a 200000:1 contrast ratio. Today, a writer from Tech Digest released a preview video of this projector. Not only is the EH-TW9000W 3D capable, but it also is able to receive 3D and 2D content through a wireless connection. This reduces the cables needed to only a power cord. Epson has rolled out a new printer that will go perfectly with that space saving AIO computer you have. The new Epson printer is the NX430 and while it is an all in one printer, Epson calls the printer a small-in-one because of its small size. The machine measures in at 15.4″ x 11.8″ x 5.7″ and it weighs 9 pounds. That makes the printer considerably smaller than other AIO printers on the market. The printer is fully featured as well.

Epson announced today the launch of the world’s first high-temperature polysilicon TFT-liquid crystal panels for 3D 3LCD projectors. This is a huge advancement since Epson is one of the few major companies that hasn’t released a 3D projector yet. The display panel utilizes a new technology that Epson calls the “Bright 3D Drive,” which brightens 3D images by doubling the image refresh rate from 240 Hz to 480 Hz. Epson announced today three new projectors that have been released towards the entrepreneurs and small business fields. The models include the EX3210, EX5210, and the EX7210 and they are all capable of displaying a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2800 ANSI lumens. The only major difference is their resolution capabilities which are SVGA (800 x 600), XGA (1024 x 768), and WXGA (1280 x 800) respectively. Epson is announcing today three new projectors that will be released next month to their VS series, the VS210, VS310, and VS315W. These three projectors share the same chassis as well as 2600 ANSI lumens. The only notable difference at this time is their native resolutions. The VS210 has a SVGA (800 x 600) resolution while the VS310 has a XGA (1024 x 768) and the VS315W has a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. Each model shares the same connection panel, which comes with composite, s-video, RGB, and a USB port. Epson is proud to announce today two new low-cost projectors, the VS410 and VS350W. The VS410 is the brighter of the two, featuring a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 4000 ANSI lumens. The VS350W comes with a widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and 3500 ANSI lumens, which is still bright enough for most boardrooms and classrooms. Specifications are limited at this time, but the company did state that both projectors will include a USB port for Plug ‘n Play compatibility. Other features include an E-TORL lamp that lasts 4000 hours, dual 5W speakers, and an A/V Mute Slide. Epson will release these projectors next month for $899 and $949, respectively.

Epson unveiled back in January their new EB-9 series of projectors. Today, the company announced that some of this series will now be available to the consumer market. The five new models being released include the EB-95, EB-96W, EB-905, EB-915W, and the EB-925. The projector range in brightness from 2600 to 3500 ANSI lumens. They also all share a 2000:1 contrast ratio and either a native XGA (1024 x 768) or a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. The projectors are designed mainly for classroom and boardroom applications. They also feature an Ethernet port and LAN network capabilities. Retail priced have not been announced yet.
