Epson is one of the many companies on display this week at InfoComm. Yesterday, the company unveiled four new projectors that are coming soon. The models include the PowerLite 1751, 1761W, 1771W, and 1776W. All four models share the same light weight design, 3LCD display technology, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The 1751 and 1761W both come with 2600 ANSI lumens, while the other two have 3000 ANSI lumens. With the exception of the 1751 that has a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, all these projectors have a native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and wireless networking capabilities. Epson is happy to announce that for the fifth year in a row the company has been named the #1 projector retails brand worldwide. The title was granted to them by the annual Supplier Loyalty Report by inside track. In order to receive the award, the company has to rank #1 in a variety of categories. Epson is the number-one selling projector brand worldwide. Today, the company is proud to announce the release of their new PowerLite X15 projector. This device is capable of displaying a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 3000 ANSI lumens, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The projector is designed to replace the popular PowerLite 92 as the new classroom/boardroom projector. The Epson EH-TW9000W projector is one of the company’s latest 3D home theater models. Today, it was revealed that this device is now available in Australia. This device features 2400 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 200000:1 contrast ratio. The 3D capabilities are made possible with active shutter technology, which require 3D glasses that contain LCD screens for lenses. The connection panel includes dual HDMI ports as well as an RGB, composite, and a component connection. The more impressive aspect is that this projector can display wireless HD and 3D content through a WIHD connection. Epson has not announced yet the retail price of the EH-TW9000W is in Australia yet.

Epson is happy to announce today a brand new educational projector called the PowerLite 93+. This device is powerful and budget friendly. It comes with a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 2600 ANSI lumens, which is 200 more than its predecessor. Other major features will include a 16 watt speaker, screen adjustment features, Plug ‘n Play, and more. The projector has also been loaded with programs that are designed to help teachers with their lessons. Epson is looking to release the 93+ in March for just under $700.

Epson is proud to announce today four new projectors that will be coming out next month. The models include the PowerLite 470, 475W, 480, and 485W. This collection of projectors is designed for the grade school education industry and come with short throw distances and high brightness levels. Today it was unveiled that Epson has released a new business projector called the EB-X11. This device is capable of displaying 2600 ANSI lumens, XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Epson has loaded the projector with features, including keystone adjustment, Plug ‘n Play, and a wide array of connection options. Epson has introduced a new wide format photo printer, which is capable of offering gallery standard prints at up to 13 x 19 inches. The Artisan 1430 is also capable of wireless networking and mobile printing. Epson's own exclusive Advanced MicroPiezo print head is combined with DX5 technology in the new printer, designed specially for accurate ink placement, smooth gradations and amazing skin tones. Wireless networking means that anyone on the same network can use the printer, while the Epson iPrint app allows users to print and share from a smartphone or tablet. Gallery quality prints can be printed on a range of borderless sizes, including 6x4 inch, 13x19 inch and 12 x 12 inch.

Epson today introduced the Epson Artisan 1430 wide-format printer. Offering brilliant, Ultra Hi-Definition prints as large as 13”x 19”, wireless networking and mobile printing, the Artisan 1430 delivers professional-quality photos by leveraging Epson’s exclusive Advanced MicroPiezo print head with DX5 technology for accurate ink placement and smooth gradations, the company says. The Epson Artisan 1430 also allows PC-free printing and sharing of photos from a smartphone or tablet, and offers image enhancement tools for automatic colour correction red-eye removal etc. The printer will be available in February for $299.99.

In another case of LCD manufacturers getting into hot water over price fixing, Seiko Epson announced that it's settling an antitrust lawsuit brought by Nokia back in November of 2009 to the tune of $80 million. The allegations against Epson and its subsidiaries are just one of many leveled by Nokia, with similar suits filed by the company against Samsung, Toshiba, Sharp, LG Display, and others. The LCD industry seems to be regularly hit by these allegations, and earlier this month the South Korean government fined manufacturers including Samsung and Sharp $388 million over similar offences. Epson has announced a new line of projectors that are in the PowerLite family. The new projectors include the PowerLite 420, 425W, 430, and 435W. The new offerings are all made for short throw distances and to be bright. Brightness is important since this sort of projector is often used in a classroom or office when it is bright.
