ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TL hits the FCC with AT&T-friendly LTE

ASUS isn't known for offering its tablets to North American carriers with 3G or 4G; an FCC filing for a cellular-capable Transformer Pad TF300 could be a clue at a break in the WiFi-only trend. Along with the usual wireless, a TF300TL variant of the Android 4.0 slate has stopped by the agency with the 850MHz and 1,900MHz frequencies needed for HSPA 3G as well as, best of all, 700MHz and 1,700MHz support for LTE-based 4G. All four are what we'd look for in an AT&T-oriented tablet, so don't be surprised if Ma Bell carries a 4G Transformer Pad before long. Huawei MediaPad hits AT&T's tablet offering

AT&T is adding another tablet to its portfolio – Huawei MediaPad, which is already available in the U.S. as T-Mobile Springboard. Unfortunately, the device AT&T is selling comes with Honeycomb (rather than Ice Cream Sandwich) on board, though we’re sure Android 4.0 update will be released shortly. Moreover, the press release doesn’t mention multiple color options, hinting us the only version the carrier will offer is silver (which BTW looks pretty cool to me).
AT&T has already started selling the MediaPad to its enterprise users at varying price points depending on the business account. As for consumers, guess they’ll have to wait for few more days — I couldn’t find the tablet on AT&T’s webs...

Pantech Element poster spied at AT&T store, launch coming next week for $300?

We've had a pretty good inkling that the Pantech Element LTE tablet would make an appearance at CES in the coming days, and our confidence level just rose another notch. It appears that one corporate-owned AT&T store got the official marketing material for the new tablet a few days prior to the device's launch and was a little too eager to put it on display ahead of time. The tipster also spilled the beans on a few specs, lending credence to earlier rumors: it's a waterproof 8-inch tablet with a 1.5GHz CPU, 16GB of internal storage and LTE, and will go for $300 on a two-year commitment ($450 without).

If you’re in Las Vegas this week, chances are you’re there to attend the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. It’s the largest tech show in North America and it’s an event that separates the men from the boys in terms of who can best cover the insane amount of products being announced seemingly every 15 seconds. But did you know that right before CES, on January 8th and 9th, AT&T held their 2012 Developers Summit? That event didn’t get a lot of attention, despite being in Las Vegas, but one important tidbit that’s slipped out is that AT&T held a joint session with Qualcomm to discuss 4G LTE enabled Windows 8 tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 with LTE is finally being made available by AT&T on November 20 and as a special promotion they are also offering a free Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket with the tablets purchase.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 fits in nicely between the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. What the Galaxy Tab 8.9 offers is an 8.9-inch capacitive display and a snappy dual-core 1.5GHz processor as well as 1GB of RAM. It features Android 3.2 Honeycomb that has Samsung’s custom user interface overlaying it. The inclusion of 4G LTE connectivity makes it an even more attractive device.

Motorola RAZR says hi to FCC with AT&T radios on board; Motorola XOOM 2 also visits?

The Motorola RAZR has made it past the FCC and inside it carried radios tuned to AT&T's frequencies. But before you AT&T customers start getting excited, the frequencies are also used by many Canadian carriers and it is expected that the Motorola RAZR will be heading across the border after it is launched by Verizon. The shared bands are GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA Bands II/V for 3G.
No one is ruling out an AT&T variant of the Motorola DROID RAZR as it would make sense for the Schaumberg based company to spread its flagship phone to as many carriers as possible. HTC Jetstream tablet now available from AT&T for $700 on contract

AT&T’s latest Android tablet, the HTC Jetstream, is now available from AT&T for $700 with a two-year data contract. AT&T announced Android 3.1-powered tablet last week and it is equipped with a 10.1-inch display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. AT&T will include the HTC Scribe pen with each purchase at no cost for a limited time. The Jetstream is also available for $849.99 for customers looking to purchase the tablet without a contract.
