While some are actively working on putting mini projectors in a phone, you can still rush out and buy a pico projector if you’re filled with such a desire. Philips has today announced that they’re launching a new pico projector in its range, the PPX2480. You’ll find the same features that you can expect from other projectors in the range, although it looks like Philips will be aiming this at the top end of its line.

Optoma announced recently two new projectors that will be joining the ProScene series, the EX855 and EW865. Both projectors use DLP display technology and feature a 4000:1 contrast ratio. The main difference is that the EX855 only comes with 5500 ANSI lumens and a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, while the EX865 is a little brighter with 6000 ANSI lumens and comes with a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. Optoma has included a diverse connection panel that includes HDMI, RGB, composite, component, s-video, and several audio ports as well. Acer has released the K130 mini DLP travel projector. The device is a lightweight DLP 3D-ready projector, yet weighs a pound and has a footprint smaller than half a sheet of A4 paper.
The projector has a native 1280x800 WXGA resolution, topping out at 1920x1080, and 300 ANSI lumens brightness with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. USB ports, HDMI, and an SD card reader are included for media sources, with an optional Wi-Fi adapter allowing for streaming from a smartphone or tablet. 3D is possible with the use of DLP 3D glasses.

InFocus is a digital display technology leader and visual collaboration champion. Today, the company unveiled their new IN5540 series. The series includes two new 3LCD projectors, the IN5542 and IN5544. Both projectors have been designed for large venues like auditoriums, houses of worship, convention halls, and more. Epson is the number-one selling projector brand worldwide. Today, the company is proud to announce the release of their new PowerLite X15 projector. This device is capable of displaying a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 3000 ANSI lumens, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The projector is designed to replace the popular PowerLite 92 as the new classroom/boardroom projector. Unless you had a particularly keen eye for tiny projectors, you may well have missed the announcement of Acer's C120, back at CES. The palm-sized pico projector has now hit the market, weighing in at an ultraportable 6.34 ounces. The peripheral features a USB connection, which can be used to power the device when it's plugged into a PC. The C120's also got a quick-starting LED lamp, which can display presentations in WVGA or WXGA. Business people, teachers and lovers of tiny projectors alike can pick this guy up now for $259. Back in January, BenQ unveiled their first laser-based projectors, the LX60ST, and LW61ST. Today, the company announced that these projectors are now available in the USA exclusively through AVI-SPL and Projector People. This will only last until April though and then the projectors will be available through other certified retailers. The LX60ST and LW61ST both come with 2000 ANSI lumens and an 80000:1 contrast ratio. They also have a native XGA (1024 x 768) and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, respectively. Epson EH-TW9000W Projector Released in Australia

The Epson EH-TW9000W projector is one of the company’s latest 3D home theater models. Today, it was revealed that this device is now available in Australia. This device features 2400 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 200000:1 contrast ratio. The 3D capabilities are made possible with active shutter technology, which require 3D glasses that contain LCD screens for lenses. The connection panel includes dual HDMI ports as well as an RGB, composite, and a component connection. The more impressive aspect is that this projector can display wireless HD and 3D content through a WIHD connection. Epson has not announced yet the retail price of the EH-TW9000W is in Australia yet.

InFocus is a digital display technology and visual collaboration champion. Today, the company unveiled the latest additions to their IN120 series, the IN122 and IN124. Both projectors feature 3200 ANSI lumens, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and DLP display technology.
