Optoma is proud to announce today the release of their latest addition to their PlayTime series, the PT105. This device is the latest pocket projector from Optoma and comes with 75 ANSI lumens, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and WVGA (854 x 480) resolution. While these specifications are not terribly great, it does provide a suitable option for travel or to carry between rooms and to a friend’s place. The connection panel includes an HDMI port, RGB, and a composite connection. The system was designed mainly to accompany game consoles and provide a low cost projector that was easy to use. The PT105 is available for just under $230.

Last year, Optoma unveiled their latest pico projector, the PK320. This device features 80 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and WVGA (854 x 480) resolution. Today, it was unveiled that this projector is now available in the UK. The PK320 features a similar design as the PK301. However, the PK320 is a little heavier and comes with a brighter lamp system. The connection panel includes a diverse selection, including a microSD card slot, A/V inputs, a USB port, a VGA port, and an HDMI for digital content. The projector also has a 90 minute battery life, which is good for presentations or short movies. The PK320 retails for just under $450.

Optoma unveiled last month their latest pico projector, the PK120. Today, the company unveiled that this device is now available worldwide. The projector features 18 ANSI lumens, a native 640 x 360 resolution and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The device uses the new nHD DLP chipset from Texas Instruments, which ensures a higher resolution. This is also the first pico projector from Optoma to be able to display MS Office and PDF files in their native format. Optoma is unveiling today a new home theater projector, the HD300X. This device is one of the company’s new 3D home theater projectors and says that it’s ideal for gaming as well. Optoma announced a few months ago their new ML500 projector. Today, The ML500 is now being released to the consumer market. This projector uses LED lamps instead of traditional lamps to create 500 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. The device is incredibly light, weighing only 2.5 lbs and it is small enough to pack in a travel bag, suitcase, or laptop case. Today it was unveiled that Optoma has a new pico projector that will be coming soon. The Optoma PK320 has not officially been released yet, but for some reason it is available through Amazon.com for just under $450. The projector is the brightest of Optoma’s pico units to date with 80 ANSI lumens. It also has a native WVGA (854 x 480) resolution. The company also states that it will use a LED lamp system that can run for up to 20000 hours. The connection panel will also include a USB, microSD card slot, and I/O jack, VGA, and a HDMI port for good measure. Unfortunately though, not a lot of additional information is available at this time.

Optoma has dived deep into the 3D home theater industry recently. Today, the company unveiled two more home theater projectors, the HD8300 and HD3300. Both projectors are fitted with DLP display technology and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Optoma is releasing a new home theater projector this week called the HD33. This is the latest 3D projector to join the home theater lineup and it features 1800 ANSI lumens, a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The company is stating that the projector is the very first 3D projector to retail for under $1500. Optoma has also included a new PureMotion 3D feature that reduces judder for both 2D and 3D content. The connection panel also includes dual HDMI ports as well as an assortment of analog ports. Optoma has announced recently the release of their latest pico projector, the PK120. This is the third generation for the company and it is capable of displaying 18 ANSI lumens, a 640 x 360 resolution, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio.
