Optoma Releases HD33 and HD83 Projectors in UK

Optoma announced today two new HD projectors that are being released in the UK. The HD33 and HD83 share the same DLP display technology as well as full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 3D technology. The HD33 also comes with 1800 ANSI lumens and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, while the HD83 comes with 1500 ANSI lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Optoma has included a variety of feature for both projectors. Among them is the PureD technology that optimizes the projector configuration brightness and image quality. Optoma has not released a retail price yet for these models.

We've said it before and we'll say it again -- you deserve a projector. Watch those tiny LCDs and plasmas if you want, but it's time to go big or go home and Optoma is delivering three new beamers to help that happen. The new HD33 model (pictured above) makes its claim to fame as the first 1080p 3D projector available for less than $1,500, while the HD3300 and HD8300 make their bones in slighly more upmarket segments, priced at $1,999 and $4,499, respectively. Optoma is releasing a new home theater projector this week called the HD33. This is the latest 3D projector to join the home theater lineup and it features 1800 ANSI lumens, a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The company is stating that the projector is the very first 3D projector to retail for under $1500. Optoma has also included a new PureMotion 3D feature that reduces judder for both 2D and 3D content. The connection panel also includes dual HDMI ports as well as an assortment of analog ports. The HD33 comes with an IR emitter, but the 3D glasses need to be purchased separately.
