We're told that a free app will be made available for Android and iOS devices, enabling users to wirelessly transfer video and stills to a smartphone for quick sharing via the internet. It also allows the phone to be used as a remote control for t...

JVC chose Monday to bring one of its most unique cameras to the US. The GC-PX10 is meant to stand as the best of both moving and still imagery. Through its use of the Falconbrid chip from the TD1, it can record 1080p video at a full 60 frames per second but can still snap 8.3-megapixel shots in mid-video with the relatively large 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor.
Special modes have their own unique advantages over either camcorders or conventional still cameras. The camera can shoot full 12-megapixel, ISO 6,400 stills at 30 frames per second for two seconds but can shoot 8.3-megapixel stills at an even faster 60 frames per second. JVC Announces New Professional Handheld Camcorder: the GY-HM150

With the GY-HM150, JVC is continuing its trend of offering compact and portable options for professional filmmakers. The GY-HM150 inherits its condensed design from the previous GY-HM100, which we reviewed a few years ago at CamcorderInfo.com. The GY-HM150 offers a new encoder and processor in an attempt to improve HD recording quality, as well as provide support for standard definition recording.
Like the GY-HM100, the GY-HM150 includes three 1/4-inch CCD image sensors, which is something that sets it apart from JVCs consumer-grade camcorders (usually equipped with a single CMOS sensor) The GY-HM150 can record Full HD video at a 1920 × 1080 resolution, as well as 720p HD video and 480i stan...

JVC shows off projectors with 4K precision, but not quite 4K pixels
Like UnlikeFiled in: ProjectorsSonyJVCDLA-RS4000VPL-VW1000ES
JVC first brought 4K home with its $175k DLA-RS4000 and now it's back with four new models with greater than HD resolution at much easier to swallow prices. You'll note the term used is "with 4K precision", because strictly speaking these don't project over 4,000 pixels of horizontal resolution, coming in at a still impressive 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. While this is still about four times the number of a standard HD image, it's less than say, Sony's VPL-VW1000ES. Filling in the difference is JVC's e-Shift technology, which was originally developed for its 8K projector. It works by creating two 1080p frames, with one shifted down diagonally and alternated at 120Hz to create the effect.
