Motorola readying own Facebook phone
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorola
Motorola looks like it's going to be the next to join the Facebook phone race with the launch of a dedicated handset.
The snappily-named Motorola EX225 has been outed over on the Bluetooth accreditation site Bluetooth SIG, and shows a simple QWERTY-keyboarded device with a little blue Facebook key in the corner.
There aren't any Android buttons on show, so Motorola has either developed its own OS to power the device, or gone with something more widespread like Qualcomm's Brew - unless the company is still working out where to place the Android keys.

As you're aware, the Droid Bionic features a 1735mAh battery that provides a slight bump in capacity over its competition -- namely the Droid Charge and Thunderbolt. Still, if you plan to push this LTE powerhouse beyond moderate usage, you'll likely find yourself in a feverish hunt for wall outlets before the day is through. Now, Android Central gives us a peek at the Bionic's extended battery, and so long as you're willing to live with the (super obvious) protrusion, you'll find the latest Droid riding high with a 2760mAh cell. Perhaps it's not the sleekest solution in the world, but hey, at least it's not quite so insulting as the extended battery on Verizon's first LTE handset -- take a p...

Sony gives more detail of its OLED viewfinder
Like UnlikeFiled in: CamerasSony
Sony Japan has published more detail about the OLED viewfinder used in the NEX-7, SLT-A77, SLT-A65 and the optional EVF for the NEX-5N. The display is manufactured by Sony and is based on white OLEDs that sit behind colored filters, rather than the red, green and blue colored OLEDs used in many other displays. This could explain the apparent higher color accuracy of the Sony display (since it's easier to adjust the behavior of a color filter than change the emission color of an OLED).

Symbian getting Microsoft Apps in Q4, Office coming in 2012
Like UnlikeFiled in: Operating SystemsMicrosoftNOKIA
We have to admit it, Nokia did well in making us believe that Symbian is a burning platform. That’s why we can totally understand some people’s understanding that the phone maker will turn its back on Symbian as soon as the first Windows Phone devices hit the market. But it seems that those statements have fired back hard at Nokia and it’s going to great lengths trying to convince everyone that Symbian is cool again with major updates like Symbian Belle and new devices.
