Hackers Target Goldman Sachs CEO, Reveal Personal Info in Data Dump
Like UnlikeWe understand that Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein is a busy man. Running a multi-billion dollar company tends to cut into your free time, that's just the way it is. Even still, the 57-year-old CEO would be wise to scrap any and all passwords and come up with new ones following a data dump of his personal information on Pastebin.

This Is the New Amazon Kindle Fire Color Tablet—and It's Only $199!
Like UnlikeFiled in: TabletsAmazonKindle Fire
This is incredible. The new Amazon Kindle Fire will cost only $199! This is a killer price for a color tablet. Even while it doesn't match the iPad's features, there's going to be some fierce competition this year.
Check out our up close and personal video to see it in action and keep reading for all the details.
The right (basic) stuff
As the rumors pointed out, Amazon's color tablet has a 7-inch 16-million color display. Like the iPad, it's an IPS panel, which means it has a wide viewing angle and great color saturation. The resolution is pretty dense: 169 pixels per inch. It's not comparable to the 326 pixels per inch of the small iPhone 4's display, but it's better than the iPad's 132 pi...

Intel kills MeeGo in favor of Tizen
Like UnlikeFiled in: Operating SystemsNOKIALinuxMeeGoTizen
Intel announced on Wednesday that it will be shifting its efforts from MeeGo to the new “Tizen” mobile operating system recently announced by The Linux Foundation. The move is in line with reports from early September that suggested Intel would move on due to a lack of consumer enthusiasm surrounding the OS. Nokia launched the MeeGo-powered N9 this month but also announced in June that it was ditching the platform in favor of Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS. “We believe the future belongs to HTML5-based applications, outside of a relatively small percentage of apps, and we are firmly convinced that our investment needs to shift toward HTML5,” Intel said in a blog post, explaining why it did not...

Hack to enable internet sharing on the Samsung Omnia 7 now available
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungOmnia 7
Thanks to XDA-Developer member OndraSterthere is now a hack available to enable internet sharing on Samsung Omnia 7’s running Mango.
Interestingly the hack confirms Microsoft’s assertion about drivers, as the hack does not work on HTC handsets. The hack also reveals that there is vestigial support for Bluetooth tethering, but that this does not work.
The hack also disables the phone from checking for carrier provisioning for tethering, but this of course does not mean you will still not be charged.
The hack is a bit too complex to explain here, involving unlocking the handset, provisioning the device, replacing files and editing the registry, so really only for expert users.

Google Nexus Prime should show at CTIA
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesGoogleGALAXY Nexus
Well, it looks like we were right about the Nexus Prime showing up at CTIA Oct. 11, as we’ve just received an invite from Samsung which will give us a “look at what’s new from Android.”
While Samsung doesn’t go outright and say this is the Nexus Prime or Galaxy Prime or Droid Prime or whatever, it does have the Android logo in it and this times up nicely with previous statements. The Nexus Prime is supposed to be the showcase device for Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which Google’s Eric Schmidt said would come in October or November.
Previous rumors suggested that this would have a 720p HD screen and we could easily see this as another version of the Galaxy S II HD LTE, which was announced with...

HP briefly opened TouchPad sales to its employees today
Like UnlikeFiled in: TabletsHPTouchPad
Amazon might’ve taken the industry by surprise today as they announced their competitively priced Kindle devices, but they still pale in comparison to the killer fire sale pricing offered by the HP TouchPad. Naturally, the buzz surrounding the webOS powered tablet’s fire sales have diminished tremendously, especially when inventory is seemingly all but dried up by now.
Well, HP managed to treat its employees to some good old fashion appreciation by opening up sales through their Employee Purchase Program. In fact, they briefly started selling them at 9:00 AM PST on the dot this morning. However, by 9:01 AM PST, the whole thing came crumbling down as the demand from several thousand employees...

So to help protect itself and avoid the AT&Tand T-Mo trial, Google has filed a petition with the judge presiding over the case between the Justice Department and AT&T over the company’s proposed purchase of T-Mobile asking to keep confidential data about Android from being disclosed to the public. In its petition the search giant said:
