Fujifilm has said it will provide a 'definitive solution' to the white orb blooming problem on its X10 enthusiast compact camera. You didn't think a company like Gigabyte would roll into CeBIT empty-handed, did you? The Taiwanese company knows how to rock a trade show properly and came packin' a whole bevy of goodies. Getting top billing are the brand new U2442 ultrabooks and the P2542G gaming laptop. The slim and light model comes in two versions. The U2442N comes rocking an Ivy Bridge class Core i5 or i7 in a shell that's 18.5mm thick at its narrowest point and starts at 1.49Kg (3.3lbs). The U2442V trades in the standard voltage CPUs for ULV ones, while keeping the same 14-inch 1600 x 900 display. The new models are the Eee PC X101CH, Eee PC 1011CX, two versions of the Eee PC 1015BX Modelle as well as the Eee PC 1025C.
All models will get 1 GB main memory as well as a 320 GB HDD. The X101CH and 1011CX will integrate Intel's new Atom N2600 processor. The 1025C gets Intel's Atom N2800 CPU, while the 1015BX will use AMD's C50 or C60 processor. The netbooks will come standard with two operating systems to enable hybrid operation. Windows 7 Starter will be the main OS and the lean Express Gate OS will be used to enable basic software such as Firefox, Skype, Media-Player, and Messenger.

Japanese vendor Fujitsu has shown no urgency whatsoever in joining the ultrabook fray. In fact, it remained mum on its ultrabook plans until it published its product roadmap for 2012 last month. The roadmap lists two ultrabook models, both scheduled for May. We now have a few details about one of its upcoming ultrabooks.

MSI has unveiled two new gaming laptops at the CeBIt 2012 Show in Hanover, Germany. The GT60 offers a 15.6-inch HD screen, while the GT70 provides a 17.3-inch display. Both are expected to be equipped with nextgen Intel quad-core Ivy Bridge processors and NVIDIA Kepler (GeForce 600M series) graphics chipsets.

The notebooks, like some in the current generation, will also incorporate SteelSeries backlit gaming keyboards and Dynaudio sound systems. Storage can be up to 1.5TB on three drives. Following on the footsteps of its sibling, the 1025C, ASUS' Eee PC X101CH netbooks has also made it into stores and is currently available in the US for $279.99. For this price you get an Eee PC with a Seashell design that features a Matte Black coating, a 1.6 GHz Atom N2600 dual-core processor, a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1 GB of DDR3 memory, and a 320 GB (5400 RPM) hard drive.
The Eee PC X101CH also comes with a 0.3-megapixel webcam, a micro SD card slot, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, two USB 2.0 ports, and a 3-cell battery allowing up to 4.5 hours of operation per charge. The netbook can be found on sale here.

The Z77A-G45 is going to be one of the more affordable socket LGA1155 motherboards based on the Intel Z77 chipset, by MSI. The Z77A series from MSI starts with high end Z77A-GD80, Z77A-GD65, and Z77A-GD55. eTeknix scored pictures of the Z77A-G45. The G45 uses a simple 6-phase VRM to power the LGA1155 CPU. It doesn't cheap out on cooling for the MOSFETs. The socket is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting dual-channel DDR3 memory.
