That another Nexus device existed and would launch as the first phone running Ice Cream Sandwich, we already knew that to be true. It's always been the specifics about the device that have been subject to the rumor tag, but it looks like at least one rumor can be smashed. The Nexus Prime is a Samsung device.
Rumor had it that Samsung was showing off the Nexus Prime at Verizon HQ recently, but that was just a rumor. This information was confirmed by Samsung themselves after company lawyers issued an injunction against someone who had obtained the firmware of the Nexus Prime. Samsung lawyers want to keep that person from sharing the firmware. In the letter, Samsung confirms that the device i...

Google’s third-generation “Nexus Prime” smartphone — which will likely be the first Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” phone to hit the market — will launch in October according to a new report from Korean-language Electronic Times. Following yesterday's reports that Samsung has mastered the Super AMOLED HD technology with current production methods, but new materials and clever PenTile matrix gymnastics, comes another rumor that the Nexus Prime will carry such screen.
Google's next poster child for Android Ice Cream Sandwich is to indeed sport a 720x1280 pixels 4.5" screen, which should be a sight unseen, considering the Super AMOLED technology. Utlization of the PenTile matrix means details won't be as distinct as they would be with a normal RGB one, but there will be more than enough pixel density to compensate.

Google Nexus Prime confirmed by Samsung?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesGoogleGALAXY Nexus
Samsung has inadvertently confirmed that it will be the creator of the next Google Nexus device.
A (translated) Tweet sent from the Samsung Mobile Romania account said the company is planning to get the phone on the market for 'late 2011':
"The production will be started now, most likely [to arrive] in late 2011. It [Nexus 3] will bring Android 4.0 on the market."
Real or no real?
Of course, given this is a translation it shouldn't be taken as totally factually accurate, which could mean that it's more of a commentary on the situation, something the the Samsung Mobile Romania account is now saying in response to user queries:
"Hello! It's about a discussion around the rumor of releasing the...
