We knew that the Samsung Hercules and HTC Ruby were both making their way to T-Mobile, and now, it looks like they'll be doing so in tandem. The folks over at Tmo News have obtained a leaked back to school slideshow (pictured above) that pegs the release date for both devices as October 26th, despite earlier murmurs that the Ruby would be hitting shelves in September.

Galaxy S2 Release is on August 29, Confirmed.
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungGalaxy S II
Earier today we reported that the Galaxy S2 is not launching today as was rumored. Just now Samsung Mobile sent us an invite to a media event on August 29 in New York. The invite is not revealing much, but it has a "II" on it. The II clearly hints to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and since the invite is from Samsung Mobile it is almost sure that the 29 marks the launch of the Galaxy S2 in the US. Now I just saw that the image of the invite flyer has actually "Galaxy_S_II" in the file name. So there is no doubt that the Galaxy S2 will be released on August 29.

The Galaxy S Plus was the bee's knees of the mobile world for a day, promising a boost in its predecessor's internals and becoming a less expensive alternative to the flagship Galaxy S II. It definitely didn't take long for it to go public, as it's become available on Vodafone. The Plus appears to begin as an exclusive for the carrier before spreading its wings to other parts of the global sphere.

Tweet from AT&T says Samsung Infuse 4G to get fed Gingerbread this month
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungInfuse 4G
Just because the Samsung Infuse 4G gives you a gigantic 4.5 inch display doesn't mean that the OS aboard is the latest, most up-to-date offering from Google. After all, users of the device have had to live like cavemen with Froyo installed on their phone. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's good for getting Adobe Flash and all, but it is not the latest and greatest build of Google's open source OS. You can imagine the suffering.

T-Mobile preps Samsung Gravity TXT for August 24th launch
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungT-MobileGravity TXT
While the smartphone is everybody's darling, T-Mobile and Samsung are hoping the Samsung Gravity TXT might garner some love, too. This landscape QWERTY slide features a 2.4-inch display, 2 megapixel camera, and Social Buzz -- via a dedicated key -- which integrates all your social sites into one app. The pic above seems to have the new feature phone shipping August 24th at $139.99 off-contract or $39.99 if two-year contractual obligations are more your thing.

Galaxy S2 not coming to Verizon Today
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungVerizon WirelessGalaxy S II
End of July we carried a rumor saying that Verizon will launch the SamsungS2 today, August 12. August 12 is still young, but I do not expect Verizon to announce anything today about the S2. If the sale of the highly anticipated Galaxy S2 would to be started today, Verizon would have announced that earlier this week.

Samsung roadmap shows phone with 720p screen, Ice Cream
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsung
An uncommon Lithuanian leak of a Samsung roadmap for the latter part of 2011 may have given out plans for a handful of future, very advanced phones. The i9250 seen by Mobili Linija would be Samsung's first-ever phone using Ice Cream Sandwich (possibly Android 4.0) and would have a larger screen to match, carrying a 4.65-inch display with an unprecedented 1280x720 (720p) resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S Plus packs beefier hardware inside the shell of the original model
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsung
There is absolutely no hiding the fact that Samsung is making the Galaxy S II its number one priority right now, however, you just can’t help it to step back for a moment and see how the original model paved the way for it. Sure it’s over a year old and its specs are regarded to be as mid-range by now, but nevertheless, there are always different ways to bring the spotlight back to it.

The rugged Samsung Galaxy Xcover runs Gingerbread and is not afraid to get dirty
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungGalaxy Xcover
When it comes to rugged phones, most of them would not offer you much in terms of software and functionality, but the newly-announced Samsung Galaxy Xcover does not follow that unwritten rule. Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy Xcover is one full-fledged smartphone, yet it is tough enough to withstand the elements. The device is IP67 certified, which makes it resistant to dust, dirt and submersion in water at up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, so it would probably not mind hanging out in your pocket the next time you decide to go jet-skiing. Besides that, the smartphone's display is made using scratch-resistant tempered glass meaning that it will take more abuse that you would imagine...

Samsung Omnia 7 with Mango RTM floating around in the wild
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungOmnia 7
WPSauce have been sent this screen shot of the Samsung Omnia 7 supposedly running Windows Phone 7.5 7720, which is the Release to Manufacturer version of Mango.
The development is either evidence of the OS being hacked into the handset, or of the OS undergoing carrier testing.
I am sure the impatient few would prefer the former, while I am sure most of us just wish the official update would come sooner rather than later.

Walmart has the Samsung Conquer 4G on pre-order; price is set to free on-contract
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungConquer 4G
Seriously! Who doesn’t love the fact when we see third party sellers offering pre-orders for an upcoming phone, but rather than sticking with the carrier’s original pricing, they simply blow them out of the water?
Well, if you happen to be eying the upcoming Samsung Conquer 4G for Sprint, you might want to check out what Walmart is offering right now. Specifically, they already have the 4G WiMAX enabled smartphone up for pre-order, but more importantly, early adopters choosing to side with the retailer are going to be knocked out by its sticker price.
