The Motorola Defy Mini is a very compact ruggedized handset running Gingerbread, but what makes it even more attractive is its affordable price tag. Motorola unveiled the Defy Mini with a 3.2-inch display, and the device is a tinier sibling of the original Motorola Defy.
The 3.2” screen is water and scratch-resistant, dust proof and comes with Gorilla Glass and a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. On the back there’s a modest 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, while up front Motorola has included a VGA snapper for video calls.

Motorola DROID 4 cases ready to go out the door sans the phone
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaDROID 4
What good is a case for a phone that hasn't been announced yet? Well, you could try to fool everyone around you by putting it to your ear and faking a conversation. "Yeah, Mom. She walked out on me again," you could say, and that would probably attract some attention. Or, you could give it to someone as a belated holiday gift and let him/her figure out how to buy the phone. But perhaps the best use of the case is as a tool that tells us that the next model in the distinguished DROID series is close to getting launched. And that is the situation with the Motorola DROID 4 as a couple of photographs show that cases for the handset are already being shipped out to some retailers.

Motorola Fire with two SIM card slots launched in Brazil
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaFIRE
Motorola is launching a dual-SIM version of its entry level Fire smartphone in Brazil. Aside from the additional SIM card slot, we don’t see any other changes under the hood. In that sense, expect the same 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen with full QWERTY keyboard beneath, 3-megapixel camera, 600MHz processor, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, memory card slot, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show with Moto’s Switch UI singing on top.
In case you wonder, we’ve no idea whether this baby will be available in other markets. We also don’t know the price. However, we do know that even if it’s not released in the other parts of the world, you’ll most likely be able to grab yourse...

Motorola Defy Mini lands at the FCC
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaDEFY MINI
While digging through the FCC' database this morning, we stumbled upon a yet-unannounced device from camp Motorola. Bearing the Defy Mini moniker and XT320 model name, the smartphone could be another rugged, yet smart offering, much similar to the Motorola DEFY+, but smaller in size.
The FCC filing for the Motorola Defy Mini does not reveal much, but it is rumored that the smartphone measures 109.0 by 58.5 by 12.6 millimeters and weighs 107 grams. It is also said that it has a HVGA touchscreen, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash, a 1390 mAh battery, GPS, and a microSD card slot. DROID RAZR in white comes tomorrow – can you guess why?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaRAZR
Though it may seem like an exercise in foolish re-reporting to speak on this white version of the DROID RAZR again when we announced it earlier this month, it’s availability for tomorrow (the 15th of December) should strike you hard enough to bring about a bit more buzz than this device otherwise would. Since the DROID RAZR was released in its original black/gray form last month (our full review able to be found here), another color for the casing of this device is essentially just a paint job on the same cool sharpness: but besides the OTHER device you’re more than likely aware is almost certainly coming to Verizon tomorrow, recognize this: the DROID XYBOARDs are being cross-promoted with t...

Motorola promises Android 4.0 ICS upgrades for DROID RAZR, DROID BIONIC, XOOM (again)

Motorola has posted a rather lengthy explanation of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade process to its corporate blog, where it details the four major steps that need to occur before a software update is made available to users. Unfortunately, the company doesn't provide any extra information as to exactly when the Android 4.0 upgrade for existing devices will be released or when it plans to launch new devices with Android 4.0 already on them. It did reiterate its previous commitment to bring the new software to the DROID RAZR, DROID BIONIC, and XOOM tablet, but it has yet to provide an exact timeframe.

White Motorola Droid RAZR for Verizon Wireless now official
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaVerizon WirelessDROID RAZR
The Motorola Droid RAZR for Verizon Wireless is arguably one of the prettiest smartphones on the market right now. If it weren’t for the terrible AMOLED screen and the questionable battery life, then this writer would have a hard time resisting the urge to pick one up this holiday shopping season. So last month when rumors started floating around the internet that Verizon would be introducing a white variant of the Droid RAZR, you can understand that many Android fans started foaming from the mouth with anticipation. Well now it’s official, and … meh, it’s actually not what we were expecting. In fact, it shouldn’t even be called white. It’s basically the same black Droid RAZR we’ve already r...

Is this FCC filing for the Motorola DROID 4?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaDROID 4
A new filing from Motorola has just passed through the FCC, but unfortunately there isn't enough identifiable information to pinpoint what device it is, although the smart money is on the DROID 4.
The FCC filing is for a Verizon device with a world-phone radio compatible with CDMA/LTE, GSM 850/1900, WCDMA and EDGE. Although, the filing notes that the GSM/EDGE/WCDMA options "have been disabled by firmware and are SIM locked for all US carriers", so this device is Verizon-only. As we said, there is nothing to confirm this as the DROID 4, but the information all fits.

Droid RAZRMAX rumored - may bring larger battery
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaRAZR MAXX V6RAZR maxx Ve
One of the caveats of having LTE in such a thin phone is battery life. Motorola may have caught on to that fact and may possibly be working on a refresh for the Motorola Droid RAZR called the Droid RAZRMAX.
The folks over at PocketNow discovered some interesting EXIF data embedded into some, otherwise uninteresting, photos. The data labels the device model that took the pictures as “DROID RAZRMAX-.” That model has not been spotted previously in EXIF data.
While that may not be very much evidence on its own, it is worth noting that a user over at Razr Forums reported being informed of that model by a Verizon employee. They said they were at a store looking at the RAZR and expressed some conce...

Motorola Milestone 2 Gingerbread update starts rolling out today across Europe
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesOperating SystemsMotorolaGoogleMILESTONE 2Android 2.3
Motorola has started rolling out Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for its Milestone 2 smartphone in Europe. That, however, doesn’t mean you can get it right away; the new software will be released in stages so even if you can’t download it right now, check back again within few days.
The American handset maker turned to Facebook to spread the good news and we really applaud them for supporting their existing customers. Sure enough, they’re kinda late – but better late than never.

Leaked Verizon document hints at white Droid RAZR, leaves speculation to us
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaVerizon WirelessDROID RAZR
Is there a white Droid RAZR looming on the horizon? According to the above screenshot, there is. Obtained by the folks over at Droid Life, this image purports to give a glimpse into Verizon's device management system, which apparently boasts a previously unmentioned white version of Motorola's ultra-thin handset. If it's legit, the RAZR would join the likes of the Droid 2 Global and R2D2 alongside the manufacturer's predominantly white offerings, though Motorola has yet to confirm its existence. Details, then, are still scarce, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear more about any alabaster arrivals.

DROID 4 accessories leaked: lapdocks, HD docks and wireless keyboard with trackpad
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesMotorolaDROID 4
Well what do you know – Verizon Wirelessmay actually launch the DROID 4 on December 8th, as we reported before. Or at least the growing number of information we’re getting about the QWERTY keyboard Android smartphone suggests so.
The latest info we got about Moto’s upcoming device shows us compatible accessories. As you’re about to see, future DROID 4 owners we’ll be able to connect it to a LapDock, HD dock or wireless keyboard with trackpad. I can’t recall seeing such keyboard before and I’m pretty confident it will also be able to sing along other Motorola smartphones like the DROID RAZR, DROID Bionic and Photon 4G.

QWERTY-loving fans of the Droid series probably won't have to feel left out of the LTE party for much longer, as Droid-Life has uncovered some official-looking pictures and even a comparison chart of the upcoming Droid 4 and the rest of the line. Hit the source link to view a more pics and the chart, which explains how we've gone from the Droid 2 last year, to the Droid 3 just a few months ago, to the Droid 4 / RAZR combo attack Motorola and Verizon could be unleashing as soo...
