Yahoo today announced Play by Yahoo! Music, a new music/MP3 player for Android handsets. The application offers a number of features that bank on Yahoo's existing services. The music player includes its own form of Shazam/SoundHound and can identify single tracks and a series of tracks. It also includes a streaming news channel that provides updates on musicians and artists. The player offers what Yahoo calls behavior-based smart shuffle. The player uses past playing history to create moods/playlists. Last, it includes Twitter and Facebook integration so users can share their music selections with friends. The application is free to download and is already available in the Android Market.

We have talked on more than one occasion about the cheap cameras and camcorders that DXG offers. The last product we saw from the company was a 3D camcorder called the DXG-321 that isn’t cheap at right under $600. DXG is back with a new point and shoot 3D camera that is much cheaper than that camcorder at only $69.99. The camera is called the DXG-018 and it comes in five different colors. The camera has two lenses for the 3D effects.
The image sensor is a 0.3M CMOS sensor and it has auto/ISO 100 sensitivity. The camera can focus on things as close as 6-inches and saves photos to SD cards up to 16GB the image resolution is 1.3MP and the shutter can activate in 1/20 to 1/4000 of a second. Powe...

Even though it apparently is about to reveal an amazing new Windows Phone 7 handset as we reported today, for the time being at least, life has been mostly hard for Nokia. And to add insult to injury, a U.K. judge has ruled that two phones produced by the Finnish manufacturer had infringed upon a patent held by German firm IPCom. According to BusinessWeek, the patent dealt with the technology used to connect a handset to a network. The same case is being heard in courts in the U.S., Germany, Japan and Italy.
IPC acquired the patents in 2007 from Robert Bosch. The world's number one automotive supplier, Bosch could not work out a deal 4 years ago to license the technology to Nokia and sold t....
