Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonLive with Walkman
Somebody's not wasting anytime. Just last month we reported on the musically minded Android handset, and now what looks to be a decidedly darker version of Sony Ericsson's Live with Walkman has made its way through the FCC and come out the other end in pieces -- literally. Since the outfit didn't hold back much in its initial announcement, we won't be making any big discoveries here, but if you're into dismembered smartphones we've got a gallery of the shredded handset awaiting you below.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY sales "meeting expectations"?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonXperia PLAY
Well what do you know – despite lacking a dual-core processor, it seems Sony Ericsson managed to move enough Xperia Play units to say it is “meeting expectations.” Since we don’t have their figures, we can only speculate what that phrase exactly means.

Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play 4G hitting AT&T on September 18th for $50 on contract
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonAT&TXperia PLAY 4G
We knew good and well it was coming, and come it has. Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play has made the natural GSM shift in the States in order to grace Ma Bell's airwaves, and despite the "4G" naming convention, this fellow will be topping out at HSPA+. In other words, LTE lovers will need to look elsewhere. This marks the first launch of a PlayStation-certified smartphone for AT&T, and given that it's been around the block a time or two, the carrier is (smartly) pricing it at just $49.99 on a two-year contract -- a buck-fifty less than what it launched for on Verizon Wireless. As we'd heard, it'll ship with Android 2.3.3, a 1GHz CPU, Adreno 205 GPU, a 4-inch display (854 x 480) and will arrive in ...

Samsung Galaxy Note, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S available for pre-ordering in the UK
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungSony EricssonGALAXY NoteXperia arc S
Two newly announced Android smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Note and Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, are already available for pre-ordering in the UK through Clove.
The online retailer asks 349.99 GBP (about $563) for Sony Ericsson’s baby, listing September 26th as the availability date. The device, which BTW is an upgrade of the original Xperia arc, can be pre-ordered in either midnight blue or pure white.
As for the Galaxy Note, the situation is completely different there. Clove has no clue when Sammy’s huge superphone will be available nor how much it will cost. They show a “speculative price” of 600 GBP without sharing any dates whatsoever. If that doesn’t bother you, and you also happen to have...

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is priced at $564 (£350) in the UK with a ship date of September 26th
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonXperia arc S
Surprisingly, UK retailer Clove Technology appears to be beating out expectations by bringing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S to market much sooner than anticipated. When it was officially unveiled at IFA in Berlin last week, the refreshed Android powered smartphone was expected to hit shelves sometime in October.
Well, it appears that Clove UK plans on shipping out SIM-free units starting on September 26th – with a £350 ($564) price attached to it. With pre-orders for the handset available in either “pure white “ and “midnight blue” paint jobs, this handset will definitely turn some heads more with its upgraded hardware.
Specifically, it features a faster 1.4GHz single-core processor, which ...

Dual core Sony Ericsson Nozomi coming next year?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony Ericsson
It seems Sony Ericsson's flagship phone of 2012 has been outed as the high-spec Nozomi, although whether it's still cutting edge next year remains to be seen.
The Xperia Blog is quoting a highly trusted source about the new phone, which will pack a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.
On top of this would be a 4.3-inch screen with a huge 1280x720 resolution, giving it a PPI of 342 which far exceeds the iPhone 4.

Sony Ericsson announces Xperia Arc S with 1.4GHz CPU
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony EricssonXperia arc
Even today, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is one of the sexiest phones to ever exist in my book, hindered only by its late 2010 specs. Well, Sony Ericsson just announced the Xperia Arc S, and slightly beefed-up Arc with a 1.4GHz processor. Whether or not it’s enough to make us want to pick one up is another story but it’s still the sexy beast we’ve come to love.
So what exactly does this spec bump bring to the tablet? Well, Sony Ericsson claims the 1.4GHz CPU will allow camera start-up and media conversion times to be up to 25% faster, and 20% faster web page rendering compared to the original. You’ll also see some new features like Sony 3D panorama shot, as well as Music and Video Unlimited.

Sony Ericsson may be working on its next flagship, codenamed Nozomi; SK19i cancelled
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSony Ericsson
Rumor has it that a new Sony Ericsson flagship smartphone is baking over at the company's busy kitchen. Codenamed Nozomi, the said device will allegedly pack a 4.3-inch 720p display, which is shaping up to become the next standard among cutting-edge handsets. Furthermore, a 1.4GHz chip will supposedly be ticking under its hood, yet the rumor does not clarify whether it will be of the dual-core kind or not.
However, we are witnessing a bit of a rumor clash here as previous speculations suggested that the flagship spot in Sony Ericcson's portfolio was reserved for the Xperia Duos. As far as the rumors are to be believed, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Duos is to feature a 1.4GHz dual-core processor...

Sony Ericsson scores exclusive launch deal for FIFA 12

Sony Ericsson proudly announced a limited time exclusive agreement with EA Mobile to deliver the much anticipated EA SPORTS FIFA 12 on Android. Obviously the game will be optimized for the Xperia PLAY, allowing players to use the smartphone’s gamepad instead of virtual on-screen controls.
Then, after that exclusive launch period ends (we’re most likely talking about weeks here), FIFA 12 will also be available on the “regular” Android Market.
