Google has updated Google+ by integrating YouTube with Hangouts, adding one-click support on the video streaming site so that users of the new social network can instantly watch clips with their friends. Quietly added to the “Share” menu underneath YouTube videos, clicking the link allows you to invite other Google+ members to watch it with you. Meanwhile, the Google+ interface itself has also had a mild makeover.

Google has confirmed that it is testing infinite scrolling in its web search results, meaning we could see an end to clicking through pages of results.
Although the search giant rolled infinite scrolling out to image searches some time ago, it has dragged its heels about bringing the feature to the web.

Google Maps adds current weather conditions for those who hate being rained on (video)

Here's a nice little addition to Google Maps -- current weather conditions. The feature is live now on the site, accessible by clicking the weather layer on the upper right hand corner of a map. Selecting the feature will overlay conditions culled from Weather.com, anywhere in the world. The results include the temperature and icons for the sun, rain, clouds and the moon, when that part of the world goes dark. Also new is cloud coverage from the US Naval Research Lab. Video of new feature after the break for those who like piña coladas but can't stand getting caught in the rain.

Samsung's Ice Cream Sandwich phone detailed again

What looks to be Samsung's roadmap for the rest of 2011 has made its way on to the internet, including details of the GT-I9220, Samsung's first Ice Cream Sandwich handset.
Alongside the much-anticipated Android upgrade, it comes rocking a massive 4.65-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1280x720 pixel resolution.
Aside from the fact that it sports a 5MP camera, other details on this telecommunications behemoth are scarce, but we suspect it may well turn out to be the next flagship Android handset – Google Nexus Prime, anyone?

Details reveal Motorola can't settle patents without Google

The details of Google's buyout of Motorola have been filed with the SEC. Revealed is the fact that Motorola cannot grant patent rights or settle patent claims without Google's approval. This would mean Google would have say whether Motorola would settle in its current case against Apple or Microsoft, for example.

Nexus Prime of Samsung make regurgitated for October landing in all its Super AMOLED HD glory

Following yesterday's reports that Samsung has mastered the Super AMOLED HD technology with current production methods, but new materials and clever PenTile matrix gymnastics, comes another rumor that the Nexus Prime will carry such screen.
Google's next poster child for Android Ice Cream Sandwich is to indeed sport a 720x1280 pixels 4.5" screen, which should be a sight unseen, considering the Super AMOLED technology. Utlization of the PenTile matrix means details won't be as distinct as they would be with a normal RGB one, but there will be more than enough pixel density to compensate.

After Microsoft, it's Nokia's turn to scare the Android masses over the Google-Motorola deal

After Microsoft's Andy Lees said the other day that Windows Phone is now the only "equal opportunity" platform, referring to the Google-Motorola deal, it is a turn of the company that actually stand to enjoy preferable treatment by Redmond to chime in.
Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop, speaking at a seminar in Helsinki, tried to make the other Android manufacturers worried in his turn. "If I happened to be someone who was an Android manufacturer or an operator, or anyone with a stake in that environment, I would be picking up my phone and calling certain executives at Google and say 'I see signs of danger ahead'", said Mr Elop.

Shareholder Sues Motorola Over Sale Price to Google

Motorola Mobility shareholder John W. Keating has filed a lawsuit accusing Motorola's CEO Sanjay Jha, Motorola's board of directors, and members of Google's board of directors for violating their fiduciary duty by agreeing to a sale price of $12.5 billion. We recently reported that the HTC DROID Incredible might not be getting upgraded to Android 2.3. However, according to Android Central, Verizon was ready to send out the update yesterday to 10,000 DROID Incredible users, followed by 50,000 today and the remaining owners of the device on Friday. Unfortunately, it seems that Big Red has put the kibosh on a Gingerbread snack for the HTC DROID Incredible as it appears that the software needs more work.

Samsung concerned about being competitive after Google, Motorola deal

Samsung may have officially announced its approval of Google's proposed purchase of Motorola, but behind closed doors the company may have a different outlook on the purchase. According to reports, the chairman of Samsung Electronics, Lee Kun-hee, held an emergency meeting with senior staff warning that Samsung was behind its competition in software offerings, such as dedicated smartphone operating systems.
