Gingerbread ROM for the Samsung Infuse 4G leaked
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesOperating SystemsSamsungGoogleAndroid 2.3Infuse 4G
Last time we talked about the Samsung Infuse 4G, it got some small update, which did NOT including Android 2.3 Gingerbread. As we’ve heard before, Sammy’s baby will get the Gingerbread treatment after all but we’re not sure when that will happen. Presuming you’re tired of waiting, you can cram Gingerbread on your Infuse 4G today.
The build I997UCKI4 has leaked out and everyone with a decent those of tech knowledge can try it out. Needless to say, since this isn’t the official update, you can make your warranty obsolete in case something goes wrong. If you’re willing to take that risk, proceed to SamFirmware’s website where you’ll get all instructions needed to make this happen. Bear in mind,...

Samsung Infuse 4G gets minor software update, no Gingerbread to be found
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesOperating SystemsSamsungGoogleAndroid 2.3Infuse 4G
AT&T is pushing a minor software update out to the Samsung Infuse 4G, though its not the one that users have been waiting for. Instead of upgrading the phone to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and hopefully a newer version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface, the update seems to just be a maintenance fix, and its difficult to tell what it actually offers. It could very well be an update to prepare the Infuse 4G for its promised Gingerbread upgrade, which is expected to arrive this fall. The update weighs in at about 14.5MB, and users can go to the About Phone section of the Settings app to download and install it.

Tweet from AT&T says Samsung Infuse 4G to get fed Gingerbread this month
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungInfuse 4G
Just because the Samsung Infuse 4G gives you a gigantic 4.5 inch display doesn't mean that the OS aboard is the latest, most up-to-date offering from Google. After all, users of the device have had to live like cavemen with Froyo installed on their phone. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's good for getting Adobe Flash and all, but it is not the latest and greatest build of Google's open source OS. You can imagine the suffering.

All AT&T Android Phones Released In 2011 Will Get Gingerbread

The HTC Status might be a sort-of-weird, kind-of-gimmicky (with its dedicated Facebook button and all) little piece of kit, but it’s got at least one thing going for it: it’s the only phone on AT&T running on the latest (phone-friendly) version of Android: v2.3, or “Gingerbread”. Not for long, though.
AT&T has just confirmed that all of the Android phones they released in 2011 will be getting the Gingerbread upgrade treatment.
The phones AT&T confirmed:
HTC Inspire 4G
LG Phoenix
Motorola Atrix 4G
Pantech Crossover
Samsung Captivate
Samsung Infuse 4G
That sure looks like all of AT&T’s 2011 Android line up so far, to me. Anyone spot anything that’s missing?
For those of you whose pre-2011 AT&T...
