It's a great point and shoot, yet it also has the quality and manual functions of a DLSR. Is this the new hybrid of contemporary photography or the evolution of point-and-shoot?

The g10 is an overpriced camera that really only apeals to people who have money to waste.
Its a digicam & not a DSLR. G10 is overpriced. good quality but nowhere near a DSLR. better get Canon 1000D which is cheaper and much better DSLR than G10 digicam.
