Microvision is a leader in innovative ultra-miniature projection display technology. Today, the company announced that they have received purchase orders from Pioneer for the next generation HD PicoP display technology. The system is going to be integrated into Pioneer’s Cyber Navi car navigation system. The order was valued at over $4 million. Microvision and Pioneer have been working together for a while to develop a heads up display for automobiles that is projected onto the windshield by a pico projector. We've seen Pioneer stuff its VSX line with 3D and Bluetooth goodness in the past; now, the Japanese outfit is unveiling its 2012 AV receivers portfolio in an attempt to widen its offerings. Starting with the lower-end models, the VSX-522 and VSX-822 are both packing 5.1 surround audio, while the main difference between the two is the lack of AirPlay and Bluetooth on the former. If you are, however, looking to go the premium route, you can snag the VSX-1022 or the top of the line Pioneer VSX-1122 , which will get you 7.1 sound, DLNA, as well as 1080p upscaling. Willing to spare no expense to meet your streaming music demands? Then you now have two more fairly high-end systems from Pioneer to consider. The company has just released its new N-30 and N-50 networked audio players, which each boast support for AirPlay and DLNA 1.5, as well as the ability to handle top-end digital audio like 192kHz/24-Bit FLAC and WAV files. You'll also get a 2.5-inch LCD up front and control apps for both iOS and Android devices, although you'll have to shell out a bit more for some optional adapters if you want WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity.

Well, the entry-level BDP-140 is now available for purchase on Pioneer‘s own website for a manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing of $299.99. This latest 3D Blu-ray player from Pioneer includes the ability for audio and video streaming from Pandora, YouTube, and Netflix, as well as having the option to play audio and video from USB and DLNA sources. Now, thanks to Pioneer, you can watch your movies in Blu-ray high-definition AND in 3D.

Pioneer Music Tap audio systems support AirPlay and more

Pioneer has rolled out a bunch of stuff today and among the new offerings is a pair of Music Tap audio systems. One of the players is the X-SMC3-S Music Tap and the other is the Pioneer Elite branded X-SMC4-Elite Music Tap. Both of the players support Airplay and network music playback. The systems connect to home networks wirelessly or via Ethernet connections. Both have integrated WiFi ready for wireless networks right out of the box.
