It'll cost you a pretty penny, and at this stage you may prefer to wait for Windows Mobile 6.5 to come along as it is due very soon. But that notwithstanding, the Touch Pro 2 is a top-end Windows Mobile device.

The Touch Pro2 may not be the ultra-thin or ultra-glamorous phone like the new iPhone, but it's still a very respectable device. The phone excels at calling and offers a number of useful features that are sure to keep the business user connected during the day. Although this is a business-minded phone at heart, it still offers a number of multimedia and fun features that are sure to keep you entertained at the airport as well.

The HTC Touch Pro 2 smartphone is the flagship of the HTC series. This comprehensive mobile phone has a very broad functionality, for business and private use alike. The size and weight are a bit on the heavy side, but on the other hand; this enabled offering a 3.6 inch touchscreen monitor and a large sliding keyboard. Thanks to the size, the keyboard is easy to operate.

The HTC Touch Pro2 is a fantastic Windows Mobile device, and certainly worth a look by anyone searching for a feature-rich PDA. Breaking the traditional candybar mold, the Touch Pro2 offers numerous features for both the business user and the media-centric consumer. The purchase price is a bit lofty, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for - a fully functional device, worthy of competing in today's smartphone marketplace.

HTC has pulled out all the stops with the Touch Pro2 creating a beautifully styled and extremely well built smartphone that features a fabulous keyboard and impressive specs. It must continue to frustrate HTC that what faults the Pro2 does have are largely due to the limitations of the core OS, but if you maintain a soft spot for the Microsoft platform there is simply no finer Windows Mobile phone on the market right now.

Sometimes second-best just isn't quite good enough. Verizon's Touch Pro2 is the second-best of the four carrier models of this phone, after Sprint's. It's also Verizon's second-best Windows Mobile smartphone (after the smoother HTC Imagio) and their second-best business smartphone, after the BlackBerry Storm2. But if you're a business executive looking for a proper Windows Mobile device with a keyboard, the Touch Pro2 will serve you well.
