We know who SteelSeries is going to be supporting at this winter's DreamHack gaming competition in Sweden. The peripheral maker has just announced new versions of its Sensei mouse and 7H headset, decked out in the black-and-orange regalia of Team Fnatic. While there's little difference in the products from their vanilla versions, SteelSeries says that Fnatic collaborated in the development of the original equipment — albeit along with several other teams, which makes us wonder what Fnatic did to get the gig. Maybe the folk at SteelSeries are into orange this season.

SteelSeries Sensei gaming mouse is now shipping

SteelSeries has announced that its latest gaming peripheral is now shipping to buyers. The peripheral is the Sensei Pro Grade Laser Mouse and it is aimed directly at the avid PC gamer looking for all sorts of features and tweaks specifically to make gaming more fun and the player more accurate. This mouse has an inside sensitivity setting at the high-end thanks to a 32-bit ARM processor inside.
The sensitivity can be cranked all the way up to 11,400 DCPI. The default sensitivity is 5,700 CPI and the double CPI range will take things up to 11,400. I have no idea if a CPI is the same as a DPI as most mice are rated in. That ARM processor inside the mouse is as powerful as the original Pentium ...

So, mouses turn into small compters eh ? SteelSeries has announced a rayther customizable mouse yet, the Sensei, it actually packs a 32bit ARM processor and the SteelSeries Engine software in order to allow for multiple layers of customization and extended programmability.
The ARM processor installed in the Sensei allows users to set the sensitivity of the mouse from anywhere between 1 to 5,700 CPI, and is paired with an 10.8 megapixel image sensor that can capture up to 12,000 frames per second.
