SteelSeries Sensei Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

With the Sensei, SteelSeries has crafted a worthy successor to the excellent SteelSeries Xai. Although some might bemoan the lack of adjustable weights or grips, this mouse is very well balanced and about as comfortable as ambidextrous gaming mice get - and there’s plenty of LED bling this time round to satisfy our inner gamer. The Sensei also offers some of the best, most tweakable performance of any mouse available, aided by its powerful ARM CPU and superb sensor.

The gaming mouse niche is easily one of the most fast paced portions of the peripheral marketplace which essentially means every manufacturer is trying to make their products unique. This sometimes leads to great leaps forward but it can also lead to spectacular failure. If history has taught us anything, it is that no company is perfect and even the best of the best can stumble from time to time. So with that in mind, welcome to the world of the SteelSeries Sensei. Time and again we have seen cutting edge peripherals from SteelSeries which are minimalistic yet infinitely functional for the changing needs of today’s gamers. For the most part the Sensei continues this tradition with its sophisticated, intuitive combination of great software and raw processing power. Everything from adjustable lift-off to CPI doubling abilities puts this mouse in a different league than many so called gaming mice. Even the integrated lights are done in such a way as to make most competitors’ implementations seem immature and tacked on.

benchmarkreviews‘s review Edit

The Sensei is close to perfect with only a few minor annoyances holding it back from a perfect score. Hopefully SteelSeries will make a version of the Sensei with a rubberized exterior, and a slightly more crafted design that will help it fit the hand even better. Even with these minor annoyances I am proud to present the SteelSeries Sensei Benchmark Reviews Golden Tachometer award for excellence.

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit

The Sensei is really a top of the line gaming-grade mouse thanks to three factors: the ExactTech, the high level of resolution, and great configuration features. We do think it’s worth noting that the software isn’t user-friendly, and two of the side buttons are virtually unreachable due to the ambidextrous body design.

bit-tech‘s review Edit

The headline act of the Sensei is its adjustability, and it's excellent in this regard - you should be able to set it up just the way you want. Once you’ve done this, though, there are elements of the Sensei that will start to grate in the long term.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Sensei won't revolutionise your game overnight--at least, it didn't revolutionise mine. (I suspect this is because I spend too many hours in the office and not enough playing games.) If you're willing to spend some time getting the Sensei to work just the way you want it to, it will definitely reward your patience with excellent performance. If you're a budget-minded gamer who doesn't usually tweak your tools much, however, the Sensei might be wasted on you.
