We knew that the Samsung Hercules and HTC Ruby were both making their way to T-Mobile, and now, it looks like they'll be doing so in tandem. We recently reported that the HTC Ruby was headed to T-Mobile, thanks to pictures that show the carrier's branding on the case of the handset. At the time, we had no idea if this was to be a budget priced phone for the kiddies, or a heavy duty, high-end device for power users. HTC Ruby shows its T-Mobile skin, Android aspirations

Well folks, now we know. It looks like the HTC Ruby that was leaked via a series of hyper-sensitive office photos is headed to T-Mobile. You know the one -- a couple weeks back, when someone underestimated the glare of the HTC Flyer and dropped their seemingly harmless photos on Flickr? Yeah, that's the handset in question. Not much dirt on the specs, besides the familiar key layout cluing us into Google's obvious underpinnings.. and just maybe, we'll get some fresh baked Gingerbread goodness. Either way, more info should be on the way soon, but until then, careful to check your reflections, friends.

And while we have no other information at the moment — like the release date and price — we think of the Ruby as a mashup between the HTC Sensation and some myTouch model. In that sense, we assume (speculate) it will come with HSPA+ (4G) and Wi-Fi connectivity on board, 5-megapixel camera, 3.7-inch or bigger WVGA touchscreen, along with all other “standard for an Android smartphone” goodies like sensors, Bluetooth and so on. Moreover, Android 2.3 Gingerbread will run the show right from the start.
