Toshiba faces up to second buggy tablet launch
Toshiba has acknowledged a bug plaguing its just launched Thrive 7-inch Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet. As Electronista reported on Sunday, the company’s user forums have been hit by a raft of user complaints about the issue. Toshiba says that it is working on a fix for the bug, which is causing its Thrive tablets not to wake up from sleep mode.
"We're aware of the issue and are working on a fix," a Toshiba spokesman said in an e-mail to PC World. While the spokesman was unable to provide an estimated timeframe for when the fix might arrive, he confirmed that it would be delivered via Toshiba’s Service Station pre-loaded application.
