HTC Radar 4G appears on Microsoft's website looking like a Maitre d'
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCRadar
The HTC Radar 4G is available from T-Mobile. Unlike most smartphones that are released these days, the device was originally launched in white, looking like it was dropped in some snow. That is what makes the picture of the phone found on Microsoft's website so interesting. The variant shown in the image on the Microsoft site has the same white border but the outer part of the device is black. The two-tone look gives the phone the appearance of a Maitre d' wearing a tuxedo.
We are not sure if HTC plans on issuing a version of the handset looking like this, or if it was just done for the website. We must admit to digging the look, even if it seems formal. In fact, this might be the first Wind...

T-Mobile HTC Radar for $49 from Wirefly
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCRadar
If you’re thinking about buying the HTC Radar from T-Mobile today, you might want to check the internet for some better prices first.
Wirefly.com has the HTC Radar for only $49.99 with a new or renewed 2-year contract from T-Mobile, and that includes free shipping!
Through T-Mobile, you would pay $149.99 with a 2-year contract, and then have to hassle with a $50 mail-in rebate which only brings the price down to $99.99. Frankly, $49.99 is the most I would pay for a phone with only 8 GB of storage space.
The HTC Radar is a new Windows Phone with a 3.8” S-LCD screen, HSPA+ data speeds, and a 1.0 GHz single-core processor. The phone has a new 5-megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera. F...

The HTC Radar 4G shows up on T-Mobile USA’s website as coming soon
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCT-MobileRadar
The HTC Radar 4G has shown up on T-Mobile USA’s website as coming soon. The handset is currently expected to hit stores on the 2nd November, and T-Mobile is touting its HSDPA+ abilities, which the carrier and AT&T are both labelling as 4G speeds.
While the handset is welcome, many T-Mobile USA subscribers are still complaining that they will not be getting the HTC Titan, a somewhat more premium handset, that may have to wait for the T-Mobile/AT&T merger to be available to all.

HTC Radar 4G visits FCC on its way to T-Mobile
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCT-MobileRadar
HTC Radar 4G, which we see as a mass market Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device, is at the FCC where the government-paid engineers are testing its radiation levels, making sure it’s safe to be used by the general public. Once that process is completed, HTC’s baby will be heading to T-Mobile USA, which we think will sell it for about $100 on a two-year contract.
Specs wise, the Radar 4G comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, single-core 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing camera (for video calls), HSPA+ (4G) and Wi-Fi connectivity and 8GB of built-in storage. As I said, it’s a solid mid-range by today’s standards (hence mass-market appeal), leaving the premium high-end sp...

HTC Radar 4G caught on camera with T-Mobile logo printed all over

Ever since the HTC Radar got officially announced, plenty of evidence has been popping on the web showing that the smartphone is bound to go on sale in the UK. On the other hand, whether it would ever make it across the Atlantic has been a question with no definite answer so far.

4G variant of HTC's Radar spotted in the wild, flying a magenta flag
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCRadar
The Radar's arrival in this world was overshadowed by the massive Titan released on the same day. But if a batch of spy shots sent to TmoNews is to be believed, then this mid-specced 3.8-inch Windows Phone could be about to get some much needed 4G pep on T-Mobile's network. The photos also reveal plenty of magenta branding, Tango video calling and of course Mango running under the hood. Further corroboration probably won't come til we detect an HSPA+ Radar at the FCC, but with some decent 6/7Mbps real-world download speeds and hopefully some mobile hotspot action this could well be a device worth having.

HTC Titan and HTC Radar expected to be available 4th October in Netherlands
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCTitanRadar
The first of the next wave of Windows Phone 7.5 handsets is set to hit the west very soon, with the HTC Titan and HTC Radar expected to reach stores on the 4th of October, a mere 2 weeks from now, in the Netherlands.
The high-specced HTC Titan will be a steep 559 Euro at Smartphoneshop.nl and the more mid-range HTC Radar 369 Euro.
Having used an HTC Trophy for around a year now, and never feeling disadvantages compared to the HTC HD7, I do wonder if the HTC Titan is worth the extra expense over the HTC Radar. What do our readers think? Let us know below.
