HP's recently released TouchPad is its first venture into the tablet market with a webOS device. Even though webOS is based on Linux, it doesn't mean that it is immune to security threats, and the first security issue has been found on the tablet, in just a week after launch.
The problem resides in the contacts application, where certain text fields are unsecured, and can allow code to be executed from them should the wrong people get their grubby hands into the device. This malicious code could reveal contact data or much more sensitive information and then send it back to a remote server.
