MSI Wind U100 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

MSI's Wind is a great netbook thanks to its comfortable keyboard and long battery life, making the Wind an excellent choice for most people.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Overall, the MSI Wind U100 is an impressive entry-level laptop. We never once felt as though compromises had been made. IT won't suit anyone looking for a powerhouse portable but if your needs are basic, writing emails and using the internet, or a word processor for the commute, this is as good as it currently gets.

A fine example of how to make a netbook, but the price is too high.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

MSI Wind U100 is still a pretty competitive unit. Ultimately the point of a netbook is to provide a cheap, luggable secondary computer you can bring with you on trips and the Wind fits the bill perfectly. With 6 hours of battery life, plenty of storage and enough performance for most of your out and about computing needs, the Wind remains a solid choice.

tweaktown‘s review Edit

Overall, the MSI Wind U100 is a great netbook and my personal favorite. Shop around and you can get the little machine at a bargain that makes the U100 very hard to pass up. Once you get used to the small keyboard and compact dimensions of the U100, you will be glad you don’t have to heft a much larger notebook around all day. I know I was!

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

Move over, Asus: MSI has skipped the imitation game that most other manufacturers have played so far and actually bested the Eee with the Wind. Its $550 price tag may make it $150 more than the original Eee, but the refinement and features MSI has added make it well worth the premium, especially when Asus’ 10-inch Eee runs for $700. For the moment, MSI’s Wind definitively blows away the competition.

PC World‘s review Edit

MSI's Wind is a hardy - if vanilla - mini-note, but for the Windows XP faithful it offers enough oomph for the job...

Maximum PC‘s review Edit

MSI has been moving into the notebook market in a big way over the past few years, with forays into business and gaming notebooks, and, this summer, netbooks, with the Wind U100. We have to say, we’re impressed.
