Lenovo unveiled what we think is a mass-market tablet (if there is such a thing) at this year’s IFA in Berlin, Germany. The IdeaPad A1 comes with a 7-inch 1024×600 pixels touchscreen, single-core processor, 3-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing camera for video calls, Wi-Fi connectivity (no 3G), while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. In other words, we’re talking about a device that’s pretty much the same as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, specs wise.
The good news is the price – Lenovo’s baby will be available starting from $199 for the 8GB version. 16 and 32 GB models, which will be available in the U.S., will retail for $249 and $299, respectively. Hopefully European prices won... »read more
