same here!

Mine ipad is on its way back to Apple shelves. I would rather wait for Apple products to work with better carriers with more coverage before I go back to store.

Reply Level 2 57 singingsierra on Jul 14, 2010

Yeah! Why do people love iJunk?

Reply Level 2 2 dexterv on Feb 12, 2010

I don't know about the service but the overall design of the iPhone/iPod touch is quite well received so is it that bad that it looks like a giant iPod?

Reply Level 2 3 rjt185 on Feb 13, 2010

It's the fact that with such a large screen and casing you could have fit in more functionality ... making it a large iPhone instead of a large iPod Touch would have been a better pitch to the masses. Furthermore, the way they promoted it, I don't see how it's "magically" beyond netbooks.

Reply Level 2 4 all-but-none on Feb 13, 2010

I just want it Because it has such a larger screen than the Itouch. It would be fun to play games on

Reply Level 2 5 speedydank on Feb 14, 2010

I do not think Steve Jobs thought this one through.

Reply Level 3 6 Gamicon on Feb 14, 2010

I dont see why they made it a giant itouch instead of going for at least tablet pc quality. they really only made this just to get money from the gullible apple fanboys.

Reply Level 2 7 mrtnld on Feb 14, 2010

Apple thinks, that there is a market for an iPad. I'm not so sure.
But if there is, I CAN'T wait and se what Google is up to :-)

Reply Level 2 8 Dami_Dre on Feb 14, 2010

Its the ipod touch that doesn't fit in your pocket..brilliant.

Reply Level 1 9 megamobile on Feb 14, 2010

I don't see why we need or want the ipad... just another product apple trying to rob the people money... iphone was great but ipad i don't know.....

Reply Level 2 10 redsox21 on Feb 15, 2010

I think this could be Apples first fail. Its all good though. They need to experience failure so they might change the direction that their company is going. Hopefully open source like android. Android, i think, is better because it is open source.

Reply Level 2 14 a.nad on Mar 07, 2010

redsox21- this would definitely NOT be Apple's first fail. apple has created many failed products, mostly in the 90's. in fact the 90's was pretty much a decade of failure for apple, so they've definitely experienced failure. apple really got successful in the mid to late 2000's.

Reply Level 2 11 victor on Feb 15, 2010

not worth the price !!!

Reply Level 2 12 angelnieves on Feb 20, 2010

IMO, this product was a total bust. I can see myself using this as much as I use my laptop. This isn't my kind of product. I'll stick with purchasing a MacBook Pro. :D

Reply Level 2 13 CW-Wmbg on Feb 24, 2010

It's not a computer, it's not going to sell, at least, not until they make some changes. I think if they added a bluetooth headset built in that can be disconnected, added texting, and other things, it would be a netbook/phone, but this just doesn't fit a lot of needs...

Reply Level 3 33 donkeypunched on Apr 02, 2010

Actually, it does complete a lot of needs. How many people here have an iPhone/iPod Touch and use apps to simplify many things you do now? They are like shortcuts through the internet or like mini programs. I love apps and I think this will be another option to using them with a bigger screen.

Reply Level 2 15 Yenot on Mar 08, 2010

i can see the justice in spending sooo munch for something i have already in my ipod , yeah it big , but if i want to see it larger i email it to myself and see it on my laptop when i get home

Reply Level 2 16 jeremymathewmoss on Mar 09, 2010

IT"S HUGE!!! dang what was MR Jobs thinking and the name, lol Mad TV had an IPAD spoof add. Their site states "the ultimate in portability" that's a load more like the opposite of portability. They should re-invent the Iphone, and not just make it bigger and more expensive. who in their right mind would buy this??

Reply Level 1 17 Oliev on Mar 12, 2010

No matter what,I really wanted to have an iPad.I’m an on-the-go person and I bet that this one is just an all-in-on gadget which makes all I need from internet and very little application that I may need is in there so what more can I ask for.I even search for this gadget at eBay and also tried Beezid--a new auction site.

Reply Level 2 18 andyrvc05 on Mar 13, 2010

could be but it's amazzing in my opinion. I can't wait to have this soon. Seeing videos of it on youtube and I'm amazed. The watching movie part seems the best.

Reply Level 2 19 v8crazy24 on Mar 14, 2010

its prob gonna end up getting more features that you have to pay for, just like how the ipod touch. i think everyone above is right, if it had more tablet-like functionality then it would be more worth it, and at&t needs to give up that contract soon, i have verizon and i would love a verizon iphone!

Reply Level 2 20 cellphonesareevil on Mar 14, 2010

Limited uses for what it costs. Looks pretty but fails to impress me. I so wanted to want it. But nahh

Reply Level 2 21 BuckskinJoe on Mar 15, 2010

I've read all the comments above and I do agree in part with almost everyone. I give it to Apple to go out on the limb here... Other than the dedicated Apple fans, I just don't see how this is going to stack up against the rest of the competition with a price point so high. On the other hand, I'm interested to see the UI advancements they've been touting over there in Cupertino. The good thing is whether win, lose, or draw; we will all benefit from gains this device will bring.

Reply Level 1 22 vinoob on Mar 16, 2010

i pad might be a great success as iPhone...120000 people have already booked ipad..till now...

Reply Level 1 23 vinoob on Mar 16, 2010

people wil be considering ipad as a multi touch netbook...

Reply Level 2 24 EvaOzi on Mar 17, 2010

Why do I need big iPod, if I can look everything I need in my small laptop, which basicly is more than great if we are talking about the functionality and capacity.
I can't see myself using this iPad, but ofcourse it's only my opinion.

Reply Level 2 25 jman007 on Mar 17, 2010

Totally agree guys.... why not give it telephony capabilities? then surely it can be one hell of a giant iphone :) hehehe

Reply Level 2 26 Bigmike on Mar 17, 2010

It is what it is, and those who want it will get it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Apple isn't at an all time high in stock price because they keep producing fails. Granted, not all their stuff is a win (eg Apple TV), but most are successes.

Reply Level 2 27 bswon on Mar 18, 2010

Why would anyone want an over-sized Touch? Typing on it will have to be an art form. I say Apple has got a losr here.

Reply Level 2 34 Twotoo13 on Apr 02, 2010

i'm not sure this is such a loser product. i can definitely consumers being interested in it not as an over-sized iPod touch, but a bigger, prettier, buzzier Kindle in full color.

Reply Level 2 59 pressian on Oct 29, 2010

Well, being using it for a while now - being just bigger makes all the difference...

Reply Level 2 28 lifeisfun on Mar 19, 2010

its a lot more than just a big ipod.. see it to believe it.
it gives amazing flexibility in using,

Reply Level 2 29 lifeisfun on Mar 19, 2010

yes its a mini computer !!

Reply Level 1 30 skypto on Mar 19, 2010

I am wondering how an ipod touch would have been expensive had the ipad been released first. I think it's a mirage!!

Reply Level 1 31 skypto on Mar 19, 2010

It's interesting to find out that competitiors will start manufacturing similar products...very soon the ipad wouldn't look so bad :)

Reply Level 2 35 collije on Apr 09, 2010

It's just a big MEH to me. Let me know once you have full multitasking & a true open approach to development & a marketplace.

Reply Level 2 36 diezuhl on Apr 10, 2010

I actually find this one just a little too... useless for me. no multitasking is already a deal breaker. no usb port? no wifi? thanks, but no thanks.

Reply Level 1 37 raja_arora on Apr 10, 2010

It's an iPhone for the people suffering gigantism , ;)

Reply Level 1 38 raja_arora on Apr 10, 2010

It doesn't answer the question
" Can I wear your iPAD ?"

Reply Level 1 39 rivarp.rivarp on Apr 14, 2010

i dont like it. you need an active wifi conection or at least a good 3g network to use it. i have an iphone it does not have good reception in my area, then how will this have good reception in my area. and we cannot link apple ipad to more than one computer. which means you need to carry around a laptop along with the ipad to use it well.

Reply Level 2 40 Sonu007 on Apr 14, 2010

wow!!! nice product from apple again..can anyone tell me its price. I will buy it surely

Reply Level 2 42 gumpwumper on Apr 15, 2010

web browsing minus flash has got to be super annoying on like 99.9 percent of websites.

Reply Level 3 44 Asphyxiater on Apr 16, 2010

It can be called as a huge ipod touch too. Yeah! But this is kind of a Laptop killer i'd say. That's what apple always do. Come up with new ideas. Now the other laptop and phone companies are gonna start copying this like other phone companies are still trying on the iphone..... :) Awesome work apple!

Reply Level 2 45 kmik05 on Apr 27, 2010

Apple has proven that they can market anything and sell it well. I, however, will be sitting this one out. I have owned an ipod touch and I love my macbook, but I watched a guy on a plane recently trying to hold up his ipad comfortably while he was trying to watch a movie on it. Seemed rather awkward. He finally propped it up somehow so it stuck up from the seat in front of him, so he had to look up the entire time to watch the movie.

Reply Level 1 46 varmasri on Apr 28, 2010

ya apple should have done better adding more features and disk space

Reply Level 1 47 masterpieceparas on May 04, 2010

waiting for its launch in india.......i am impressed with its features...really nice :)

Reply Level 2 48 bpm42 on May 08, 2010

Agreed. I htink the best thing about the overgrown ipod touch is the new 'Will it Blend' video.

Reply Level 1 49 johnedward.a on May 12, 2010

its neither a laptop nor a smart phone! cant really relate to it!!

Reply Level 2 50 jeremymathewmoss on May 13, 2010

It's crap on toast, and they're selling like hotcakes in the US wow who in their right mind would want a GIANT ipod touch that is only semi portable and about the size of my wife's netbook, but for 2-3 times the price???
This was a brilliant move by Apple, but how much longer do they expect to keep coming up with crap and telling us that it's the next cheese burger?

Reply Level 2 51 gekohan1 on May 13, 2010

First the iPhone, then the iPod touch, and now the iPad, what is next the iGlasses. Specially designed sunglass by Apple, with built in mp3 player and 3D video games that you use right through the glasses. Or is it the iShirt so that other people can touch you and walk around like a giant iPod touch. Hmmmmmm

Reply Level 1 52 frewdellmaxim on May 16, 2010

Hey~ just STOP comparing ipod and ipad - for me they are Completely different! Each device have different potential.
Well, say ipad is a Tablet!

I'm sure that Apple will do some improvement on ipad ~ since they need to rise up the usability to make it in the same line with netbooks..and it is Mac Os 4.

(I just saw one ipad (it just arrived at my country) and i really want it!)

Reply Level 2 53 Armandov93 on Jun 04, 2010

An $800 giant ipod touch pretty much

Reply Level 2 54 jen71 on Jun 08, 2010

Think i will stick with my ipod touch and laptop.

Reply Level 2 55 afreeman on Jun 15, 2010

We don't need it. It doesn't do anything new. So why do I WANT IT so bad.

Reply Level 2 56 Appleluver23 on Jul 11, 2010

I'm impatiently waiting for the 2nd generation ipad. If I have learned anything from apple, it is that the second version of an electronic device is always better than the first.
