Verzo's Kinzo phone gets lower price, non-GPS model

Czech company Verzo seems to be making good on its promise to let customers help decide the company's future. After complaints about its $459 Kinzo Android phone's high price and average specs, Verzo announced that it would be splitting the model into two lines, the Kinzo and the Kinzo Plus GPS. The former, now $349, comes without GPS or a car holder, while the latter, which retains all features and accessories, has dropped to $384. Early adopters will be refunded the price difference.
The move doesn't exactly put the phone into bargain territory, but it brings the price more in line with the Kinzo's single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The GPS Plus pack includes offline maps of eith...

If you’re looking for a different Android smartphone and don’t care much what’s under the hood, maybe the Verzo Kinzo is the device for you. The stylish phone runs Android 2.2 Froyo and doesn’t rock a dual-core processor as you would expect from a piece of hardware that costs $459. On the other hand, it doesn’t look like “yet another Android smartphone” and I guess that’s the Americano Czech company’s key selling point.
