The Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 3.6 introduced at last year's IFA will be making a debut in the US sometime this year, Engadget has learned on a recent trip to Samsung's Korean offices. The device would once more compete with the likes of Apple's iPod touch. The design is relatively low-cost and carries a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 3.65-inch, 480x320-pixel LCD, and Android 2.3.

Just like the rest of the gang, it delivers the versatility and software variety of the Android platform with cellular connectivity being the only thing omitted.
As its name suggests, the display on the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 measures 4.2 inches in diagonal. It is of the IPS LCD kind and has a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels.
