Oppo shows off the world’s thinnest smartphone
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesOPPO
As technology moves forward, our gadgets keep getting thinner. 12mm, 10mm, 8mm, 7mm… and now we have a phone that’s just 6.65mm thin, which gives it the title of the “world’s thinnest smartphone.” It’s not anything from Apple, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, or any vendor you might expect. It’s from Chinese mobile phone brand Oppo.

Oppo teases 6.65mm-thick smartphone, about to steal 'world's thinnest' title from Huawei

China-based Oppo is back again with yet another smartphone, only this time there's no pretty girl teasing Mr. DiCaprio. Instead, what we have here is an exclusive leak that shows off a 6.65mm-thick device -- just 0.03mm thinner than the Ascend P1 S from local rival Huawei. In other words, if all goes well then Oppo will have us the world's slimmest smartphone. Details are scarce at the moment, but judging by the above picture this phone will come with a metallic bezel of some sort, along with three capacitive buttons and a three-pin contact for dock connection. Obviously, stay tuned for more deets.

It did everything the venerable BDP-83SE did but added more features such as 3D support, better analog bass management and the ability to support more streaming services such as Netflix, Blockbuster, Youtube and now Pandora.
As an avid Pandora user, I’ve been waiting for this upgrade for some time. Until a couple of weeks ago, the only way I was able to stream Pandora into the Audioholics Showcase Home Family room system was through my iPod docking station plugged into my Yamaha RX...
