Sapphire Pure White B75M-MA Motherboard Detailed
Like UnlikeFiled in: MotherboardsSapphirePure White B75M-MA
It looks like Sapphire wants slices of not just the performance and enthusiast pies, but also the high-volume mainstream one. Its latest creation is a motherboard based on Intel's small business-oriented B75 chipset, the Pure White B75M-MA. Built in the micro-ATX form-factor, this board doesn't add too much over the B75's feature set. To begin with, its LGA1155 socket, which supports current generation Core "Ivy Bridge" and previous generation Core "Sandy Bridge" processors, is powered by a 4+1 phase VRM, which draws power from an 8-pin EPS connector. That's a giveaway that a performance/enthusiast design team was behind this mainstream motherboard.

Sapphire Combines Dual-X Cooling with Radeon HD 7950
Like UnlikeFiled in: Graphic CardsSapphireHD 7950 3GB OC
Sapphire launched a new graphics card that combines the Dual-X cooling solution, which was first featured on a high-end Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, with the more affordable Radeon HD 7950. The company launched two models, the Sapphire HD 7950 Dual-X OC, and a base model. The Dual-X OC is shown with a black-colored PCB, and GPU clock speed of 950 MHz with 5.00 GHz effective GDDR5 memory; whereas the base model utilizes a more cost-effective blue-colored PCB, and sticks to 810 MHz core with 5.00 GHz memory clock speeds. Pricing and availability information is awaited.

Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD 7970 with 6GB Memory Showcased
Like UnlikeFiled in: Graphic CardsSapphireTOXIC HD 7970 GHz Edition
The fact that Sapphire has been working on a Radeon HD 7970 graphics card with an obscene 6 GB of memory has been known since the end of 2011. The said card, the Sapphire Toxic HD 7970 6GB, has already taken shape, and was spotted running at CeBIT. Such as it is, AMD utilizes 2 Gbit GDDR5 memory chips in numbers of 12 to achieve 3 GB of memory across a 384-bit wide memory interface, on its HD 7970. Higher density GDDR5 chips are not available, at least not in bulk. So the only way Sapphire is doing 6 GB is by piggy-backing two 2 Gbit chips across 32-bit wide paths, each. As a result, these cards have memory chips on both sides of the PCB, obverse and reverse, and require a metal back-plate t...

Sapphire Unveils AMD E450-Powered Edge-HD3 Mini PC
Like UnlikeFiled in: Desktop ComputersSapphireEDGE-HD3
Not too long ago, Sapphire rolled out the diminutive Edge-HD Mini PC, which was hailed as the teeny-tiniest PC in all the land. (The company also oddly claimed the PC's "less than half a liter in volume!" You know, in case you wanted to fill it with Kool-Aid or something.) Despite its small size, the Atom-based Edge-HD packed a decent punch and racked up a lot of fans. Now, Sapphire's pulled the curtain off the Mini PC's follow-up. The aptly named Edge-HD3 ditches Intel for a 1.6GHz AMD E450 APU that gives the PC a performance boost over its predecessors.

Edge HD2 Mini PC is an HTPC that hides behind your TV
Like UnlikeFiled in: Desktop ComputersSapphireEDGE HD2
When it comes to home theater PCs, size matters -- and it doesn't get too much smaller than Sapphire's original Edge HD mini PC, pictured above. In fact, Sapphire saw no reason to fiddle with the Edge's diminutive form factor when designing the HD2, and instead poured itself into improving the HTPC's specs. Not only is the updated mini-rig small enough to mount behind your HDTV, but it also packs a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom, 2GB RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. All this (and 1080p VGA / HDMI out, of course) at 30W, "20 times less power than a typical desktop PC," according to Sapphire. No word on price (or pics, for that matter), but feel free to jump past the break for an official press relea...
