Motorola Droid

Ownership period: less than 3 months.
Best touch screen I've had. Blew Blackberries out of water. Battery life could be better but it's great for a smartphone.

Best phone I've owned

Ownership period: less than a month.
I LOVE this phone. I had put off getting it until my $100 'new-every-two' credit kicked in, and finally bit the bullet in January. I have no regrets!
Sure, the OS doesn't have 'multi-touch' available 'globally' yet, but we've got the Dolphin browser that has multi-touch, and Google Maps now has multi-touch too.
I'm anxious to get Andriod 2.1 update - hopefully that will come to our Droids soon, since it didn't happen on 1/22 as rumored.
Add to that, Adobe is supposed to release Flash 10.1 'first quarter 2010' for our beloved Droids. (That should allow me to stream my MythTV recordings - yahoo!)
Just make sure you install a "Task Killer" application to keep your battery life maximized by shutting down apps running in the background that you don't need.

Best Phone ive owned

The Motorola Droid has had a lot of hype, Both good and bad. I was contemplating purchasing it ever since it had come out. There were many forces pulling me in eaither direction..I didnt know if i wanted to wait and get the iphone through verizon or i didnt know if i wanted to be locked into another 2 year contract. But in late December i finally decided to just buy it. I have never been happier with a phone. The negative hype blow's up how the phone dosent have multi touch and how the texting on the phone is terrible, before i bought the phone i was terrified that this was going to greatly decrease the amount i liked the phone..However it was not the case what so ever. I love the phone more than any phone i have ever had. And as far as text imput.. there is no issue there. Multi touch would be nice, but it is not 100% nessecary.

The Droid...Near Perfection

This phone is miles ahead of the iPhone. However, it needs Android 2.1 to get to its full potential.

best phone i've ever used

as a former cell phone store manager i have had over 150 phones in the last 10 years and must say that the motorola droid is the best phone i have ever used. it allows for the most customization ever in a phone. the google support is unmatched in the industry.
