Plantronics BackBeat FIT Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The $129.99 price tag is steep, but shows in the high quality audio output for songs, the immense battery lifespan and the durable and flexible material of the headset itself. This is a Bluetooth headphone set that is made for the athlete. If you're more focused on your workout than the potentially annoying bobbing and slack from the back of a loose band, this may be for you; the secure fitting of the ear hooks and nestled tips will keep the headset in place otherwise. Albeit rather basic, the reversible carrying case that transforms into an armband phone sleeve is a nice touch of the overall package of the headset, great for those on the go that need to secure their phones. The biggest selling point of the BackBeat Fit seems to be the investment in the longevity of the product itself; it's definitely a headset that feels as if it can last for years. It boils down to asking yourself the following question: are you willing to accept a durable Bluetooth headset with beautiful sound and super charged battery life despite its high price point, weak bass and an unwieldy strap?

A bit expensive, but still a good choice for fitness enthusiasts who value sound quality

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

At $129, the Plantronics BackBeat FIT is a tough sell, and it doesn't help that the included neoprene armband is intended for use with Apple's iPhone 5s – nudging in a 4.5 to 5-inch Android device is often impossible. But the FIT has its niche with the fitness-oriented crowd, and we actually appreciated the sweat-proof material used, as it doesn't stick to your neck when exercising. That said, we were a tad disappointed by audio reproduction, at least as far as bass is concerned. In conclusion, if you're simply looking for music reproduction during your work outs, you can make do with something much cheaper, like the Motorola S10-HD (~$45), or the Jaybird Freedom ($64.99). If, however, you're looking for something higher end, then you might as well take a look at the Jaybird Bluebuds X ($169) before making a call.

Cnet‘s review Edit

Since all our ears and heads are shaped differently, I can't guarantee that there won't be little things about the BackBeat Fit's design that bug you. Nor can I tell you how these headphones will hold up after months of intense use (I used them for two weeks). However, my impression after testing them is that they're one of the best wireless Bluetooth sports headphones available. Not only do they offer a comfortable, secure fit, but they sound decent and offer enough battery life to get you through a day.
