White HTC Evo 4G LTE appears in Sprint advertisement
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
HTC's smartphones are no stranger to white paint jobs, and it look like the new Evo 4G LTE will be no different. A silver and white version of the device has shown up in a Sprint ad, and while the carrier has not made any official announcement regarding the variant, Techno Buffalo recently reported that it is already listed in the company's inventory. The original Evo 4G was also released in white — as was the HTC One X, the Evo 4G LTE's close relative — so the new color scheme would come as no surprise. Then again, this could all just be the result of a slip up in Sprint's marketing department.

HTC EVO 4G LTE does not support Google Wallet?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
Whether it has to do with the rumored Sprint 'Touch' mobile payment technology that the nation's third largest carrier is said to be developing, or just a case of gremlins invading the software, users of the carrier's new flagship HTC EVO 4G LTE have been unable to get Google Wallet to work. Members of Xda developers forum, resourceful as ever, found that tricking the software into thinking that it was running on the Samsung GALAXY Nexus would allow it to run perfectly.
If only the story ended here. But it didn't as soon the HTC EVO 4G LTE returned a message that "Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device / carrier," leading many to believe that the service w...

Leaked email shows Best Buy will release the HTC EVO 4G LTE on Saturday
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
On Thursday, we told you that Sprint would be offering the HTC EVO 4G LTE in its stores and online starting this Saturday, June 2nd. Thanks to the release of the handset, which was held up at the U.S. border along with the HTC One X for AT&T, there should be no more delays in obtaining the device. But what if you pre-ordered or plan on buying the model from a third party retailer like, say, Best Buy? A leaked internal email for the big box retailer has the answer.

Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCSprintEVO 4G LTE
Sprint has great news for those of you out there salivating to get your hands on the latest EVO, who didn’t get a chance to pre-order. Many of you know that all HTC One US variants have been held up at customs due to some Apple infringements. Thankfully, last week devices finally starting getting through customs. This allowed for the fourth largest wireless provider in the United States to begin shipping out handsets to customers who pre-ordered devices before the whole customs problem.

If you’ve been worried about not being able to get your hands on an AT&T HTC One X or an EVO 4G LTE, worry no more. HTC says that the customs ban has been lifted now that the affected handsets have been found to be free of patent infringement. The phones will now make their way past customs and into retail stores, and eventually into customer’s hands once stock levels normalize.

HTC EVO 4G LTE gives it up, gets rooted on its first day on the town (video)
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
It's a rite of passage for newly released Android überphones: the inevitable root. Just one day after Sprint managed to get its flagship device out of customs and into subscribers' hands, comes a one-click solution for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X users. By running a simple script compiled by XDA member Zedomax, EVO 4G LTE owners will be able to install both busybox and superuser hassle-free, giving them the admin privileges required for nearly unrestricted tinkering. Bear in mind, this underground workaround won't unlock that HTC bootloader, so a future filled with custom ROMs is still slightly out of reach. Ready to claim mastery of your device? True to its word, Sprint's begun to issue shipping notifications for pre-orders of its beleaguered flagship, the EVO 4G LTE. Word of the impending device arrivals continue to flood our inbox, lending credence to that ambiguous "on or around" May 24th arrival date, no doubt restoring the faith of wary subs. Whether the Hesse-led co. can fulfill backorders of the sought-after Android handset is anyone, but customs' guess. So be it by blood pact, money under the table or the good graces of legal counsel, we're sure all parties involved are working frantically behind-the-scenes to make this handset's roll out an uninterrupted success.

Of course, those of you who have invested $200 in pre-ordering a unit should expect receiving your parcels on that day or earlier.

HTC EVO 4G LTE promo video released
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
We’re fresh off of yesterday’s announcement of the HTC EVO 4G LTE on Sprint. It looks like HTC is wasting no time promoting the newest addition to its EVO lineup.
As you can see from the video below, HTC is showcasing its latest Android handset, which is only 8.9mm thick, with an elegant video that compares its sleekness to that of a pin.
The HTC EVO 4G LTE sports a 4.7-inch S-LCD 2 display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM, an 8MP camera with 1080p video, Android 4.0, and, of course, 4G LTE connectivity.

HTC EVO 4G LTE US bound, but not UK
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCEVO 4G LTE
Damn those Americans. They get all the good stuff.
Not content with Disneyland and oversized burgers, HTC has unveiled its latest member of the EVO series, the HTC EVO 4G LTE, and it’s only coming to the US.
The smartphone that packs a domineering 4.7-inch HD display will be available exclusively from Sprint for $199.99, despite the fact the US network doesn’t currently have LTE capabilities.
However, as the phone won’t be out until the summer we assume this will give Sprint time to get its house in order.

HTC EVO One revealed, Sprint announcement coming Wednesday?
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCSprintEVO 4G LTE
PocketNow has got its hands on the first press shot of HTC's EVO One, which looks set to be unveiled for Sprint at an event being held by the two companies tomorrow. It's the middle phone in that shot you see above, and while we can't read too much into the picture it certainly seems to fit in right next to AT&T's One X and T-Mobile's One S, both of which we gave pretty glowing reviews to yesterday.
AndroidCentral's sources say that the phone features a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED screen (which seems odd given the quality of the One X's 720p Super LCD 2), LTE, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, which at least on paper sounds like an offering unlikely to disappoint Sprint c...
